I was going to install a laser in my theater room so I bought the fog machine to enhance the laser effects.
So first time I tries it out was inside the house and had the machine set on AUTO. On auto it will emit fog for like 30 seconds, as Im watching my whole house fill up with fog im wondering if its ever going to shut off that was a really long 30 seconds and every smoke detector (like 8 of them) all went off, if you have smoke detectors don't use it inside it took 30 minutes to clear the fog out of the house and the whole time the smoke detectors were going off not fun. The directions are a bit vague and the black box with the red button that plugs into the machine they wrongly call a remote control and it's confusing because there is a wireless remote that comes with it too. All the led lights work but it was daylight in the house when I tested it and I never planned on using the Leds as I was going to use it with a laser. It seems like it will go through fluid faster then you think so make sure you buy a couple bottles of juice or a gallon of it. I returned the laser because the patterns it made were lame and I wasn't going to be able to use the fog machine inside the house with the smoke detectors. I will try and update the review after Halloween since I think it will work well for that.

This worked great!
The auto function is kind of the opposite of what it says, instead of like 25seconds on 2 mins off, it's like 1 minute on and 10 seconds off. But the remote worked through the door! (Button needs to be plugged in for remote to work) So for the beginning of Halloween i used the remote, then for the last hour or so i put it on auto when i realized i didn't want to keep a half used bottle of fog around for a year ????
The lights were bright, the fog was good, didn't scare kids too much as they walked by and wasn't too loud. Definitely went through liquid faster when on auto, but that makes sense. Smell was mild.
It was small enough i could hide it behind a rock! I also liked this one because the handle could prop it up so it angled upward for the light.
Easy to use!
We'll see how it holds up over time.
