I'm nowhere near a world class guitarist since its my fourth or fifth instrument! So if guitar is your main instrument or you play electric (I'm an acoustic guy), I'd suggest getting multiple opinions on this. But I don't like textured picks for the most part. There was one I liked a long time ago, but I don't recall the brand and never did find it after searching for it. I also don't like anything "flimsier" than the Heavy Fender. I'm sure the Medium and lighter picks are good quality if that's what you like, but for me, I have to stay with Heavy.
I also like this shape the best. It fits my hand and I don't even think about the pick or my strumming hand at all. When I'm playing scales, I can easily go up or down on the string.
The thing on picks is you have to try multiple ones out and get what YOU like. These are good quality -- the ONLY ones I use but you may not like them. I suggest getting a variety pack and trying the various shapes and firmness levels. Then, give away what you don't like. I bought some Mediums by mistake and gave them to a friend, who isn't as "picky!" (Sorry about that!!).
