Other than occasionally assisting on acoustic at church, I mainly play my Martin guitar around the house for my own personal enjoyment.
I just put them on this morning but they tuned up quickly. I did stretch the strings a few times after my initial tuning and had to adjust but since then, they've maintained their tuning.
I had them on my guitar, tuned, and playing within minutes. I leave my guitar out on a stand in my music room. I know I should house my guitar in its case when not playing but I like to have it within arms reach. I can't speak on the longevity since I leave my guitar out and that will have some effect on the sound and tuning aspects.
However, they sound great right out of the package and they're offered at an affordable price too. I like having these authentic Martin strings on my X-Series guitar. I'll continue to order more as needed.

I own a 1937 Martin that I'm afraid to put on anything but custom light strings. I've used several different types but when I saw the deal on the Martin strings I figured why not give them a try. Now While most of you know when you change the strings you get a nice crisp clean sound. These strings added a whole another dimension to my guitar. The playability is the smooth the sound caught me off guard as it is rich deep and bright all at the same time. And the icing on the cake is these strings didn't have to be stretched and restretched several times to get them to stay in tune. Nothing else will ever go on any of my acoustic guitars these are amazing wish I had found them sooner.

I bought the 12's, bluegrass series, looking for a set of strings to serve as bluegrass strings.
As far as what Martin claims, I think they're an honest pack of strings. One claim of theirs is staying in tune. Here I think they are superb. The strings seem to have an amazing relation to one another and they not only stay in tune, but they tune up very nicely. The octaves sound good together.
Initially, I thought they seemed dull compared to other strings, but then I kind of preferred that they werent too loud or piercing. Other strings sound too bright at first sometimes, such that you want to break them in or get them dirty, even. These actually sound very balanced out of the pack. One might wish for a tad bit more oomph to them, but at least it is not overdone. They ebb on the smooth side, which sounds good.
I think they would be very good as bluegrass rhythm strings, or even for the general strummer and songwriter.
Their mellow, even tone gives a sort of natural compression to the strings which makes each string very smooth when formed into a chord. Everything sounds very coherent and together. The high strings aren't too snappy or loud and this makes for very nice chord tone.
Since guitar is very much so a rhythm instrument in bluegrass, this would make them very appropriate strings for the style they claim to cater to.
I also think, as Martin claims on the pack, that the playability of the strings is great. They're very easy to depress on the fret. They feel nice. No weird coating or nothing.
The only negative I would give them is an unfair one, since these are intended as bluegrass strings: I dont think they're the best for single-note, blues style guitar. Here, the strings sound a little weak, and D'Addarios would probably serve the acoustic blues player better. They dont really have enough focus and volume as single strings and make them come up a little short if one will be playing single note styles outside of bluegrass flatpicking.
However, they do bend quite good. I just think the tone is a tad weak for single note blues. Again, they really shine when playing chords.
But not all is lost on single note stuff. Bluegrass guitar after all has incorporated lead breaks for over a half a century now, and the strings are well suited for flatpicking and bouncing around the fret board. They have a nice flexibility that allows them to be fretted quite easily. For the bluegrass style, the strings sound fine as single notes.
The tone for fingerstyle grew on me. At first I thought it seemed weak. I usually like a lot of bright volume for my finger picking chords. These were at least different in that regard. But then it seemed quite even once again. No higher strings popped too loud and the lows weren't out of place or separate from the rest of the strings.
We'll see how long they last. These are first impressions.

Custom light. Super performance. This is just the right string for my Martin CEO7. Not too thin, not too think, not too bright, not too dull. the sound is delicate and transparent. Every easy on my fingers.

You can’t go wrong with Martin strings! I found the 12-string set on sale for the same price as a 6-string set, so I bought three sets. I’ll be using one set on my Yamaha FG-312II 12-string guitar and the other two will go on two Martin DM’s. I’ll have extra B and high E strings for each six-string, and also some left overs for my mountain dulcimer. (Check the string gauges before using them on any instrument to ensure that they are the correct ones for your application.) This set consists of: E- 0.054”, 0.030”, A- 0.042”, 0.020”, D- 0.032”, 0.014”, G- 0.025”, 0.010”, B- 0.016”, 0.016”, and high E- 0.012”, 0.012”.

I tried different guitar strings on my Martin guitar, but went back and purchased these and the sound is much better. I might try these on one of my other guitars.
