    I just left a bad review for a different stand. This is the one I bought to replace it, and I'm happy with it. It's tall enough and has a wide enough base that a tall, heavy, Fender Precision Bass doesn't feel top-heavy on it. It also has fewer folding parts than other stands. To me that's just less useless clever crap to malfunction. Look, a stand is a pretty basic item of hardware--I don't need bells and whistles--but it does keep my cherished instruments from falling on the floor, so it does matter that it's robust. To that end, this is a good quality stand, and a very good value.

    I bought this for my short scale bass and really like it. Easy to put together, cushioned, very sturdy and comes with a strap to keep the guitar in place if you choose to use it. For the price as well, can’t beat it.

    The stand itself is sturdy and a great Guitar stand. However, The Rubber piece that holds the neck in place is low quality. I bough two stands and that piece already broke on one of them. Bummer.

    The bottom support that the bass rests on swivels, so it works great with my Jaguar bass and Jazz basses. It’s sturdy and it extends enough to easily handle a full size bass.

    I've had several of these cheapy guitar stands over the years. recently it's like all the companies making them threw out the old plans for making them and just started making things that look sort of like the old stands, but are designed so poorly that the removable fork that holds the guitar off the ground rotates freely and eventually ends up upside down when you place your guitar on it. which also allows the fork to pull right out of the stand.
    i like to use substances when i play guitar, i do not need a guitar stand that requires me to be overly careful.
