After doing 3 metric tons of research online, I finally reached the decision to buy this Caramel Eboy Baritone Ukelele.
Wasn't sure what to expect really, because I've never bought this particular type of ukelele before. I have used and purchased probably thousands of different instruments over my lifetime, but never a baritone uke.
Man, was I surprised. A lot. Like... surprise after surprise.
Firstly, the uke came REALLY well packages and protected. Then, you get past the generous packaging and look at it in real life, and you're taken aback at how PRETTY it is.
Then, you tune it up and pluck it for the first time, and you hear the rich, warm tones coming out of the thing.
Built-in tuner works GREAT and even I can see it. they gave me an extra set of button batteries for it. Tuning mechanics seem fine so far.
The strap buttons came already installed!
Gig bag is nicely padded, although slightly different than what is shown in the picture.
They trhew in an extra set of strings, picks, micro-fiber cloth, truss-rod wrench (yes, this thing has a truss rod), etc. Even the inexpensive strap they threw in, I like and use. It's pretty, too.
I am just trying to tell you all that you probably won't be disappointed if you go with this one.

Unboxing it, I was pleasantly surprised that it was very clean and polished (unlike the tenor I previously purchased, which was VERY dusty and dull-looking until I thoroughly cleaned and polished it).
It DOES have the Aquila DGBE strings that I also really like. The electronics work perfectly, and the tuners work smoothly, though they look rather cheap. I like that they are black with copper gears.
The fret-ends are OK, but I'll probably dress them later to give a better feel. The action is nicely set, both at the nut and the saddle. The neck relief is set nicely with just a slight concave and no buzzing anywhere.
The gig bag looks OK, though rather lightly padded. The pouch for accessories is nice, though I may not use most of the contents.
Two minor niggles:
1. The strap button for the neck is oddly placed on the front of the heel. This could cause the heel to crack, so I'll move it to the proper location.
2. The big niggle is that the inner surfaces of the slotted head are very poorly "finished" as they appear to not have been sanded at all. That I will absolutely have to rectify right away.
Finally, I'm very pleased with the somewhat mellow sound, but I expected it from my other Caramel uke. It doesn't have the punch of my Oscar Schmidt Spalted Mango Baritone (OU57), but I think it sounds good.
Overall, I'm very pleased.
