I wanted to try the handpan for a long time, but didn't want to pay $2000 for something that wouldn't ship for months. I was excited to see this instruments finally available on Amazon. I was hesitant because they are so much cheaper than other models, but decided that with the return policy, I had nothing to lose.
I'm so glad I purchased one! It came with a great little stand, a polishing cloth, some mallets (if you want to play LOUD), and a pretty decent padded case. It was packaged well, looks great and sounds great. I'm impressed. I'm also glad that I got the one with 10 notes (9 plus the middle ding). It just gives you more versatility for not a lot more money. A few YouTube videos later, and I'm making music.
Cons? Not really. The highest two notes have to be hit just right for them to ring out, but it's very possible this is my technique and not a quality issue. For this price point, I have no complaints.
If you've been wanting to try handpan, I don't think you can go wrong with this one. Whichever one you choose to buy, make sure there is a return policy just in case you don't like it or it sounds out of tune. Other than that, I say go for it!
