5.0 out of 5 stars Great first guitar
Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2024
I absolutely love this guitar I bought my granddaughter for christmas.I was actually amazed at the quality this is made at this price point. I expected it to be lighter and more cheaply made and it definitely exceeded my expectations. My granddaughter is 6 years old and she can hold the guitar nicely without and kind of struggles.I highly recommend a first guitar like this for learning on and then up grading to a more expensive guitar as they get older and more serious about playing. Also I have learned that little ones can be a little rough and tough on things so at this price point if they drop it and scratch it or literally chunck it up its no problem because of the very little amount of money invested. This guitar sounds great and it feels substantial.I received this guitar very quickly by the seller and had no problems whatsoever. I certainly hope my review was some what helpful and I am certain that you to will be like me and will have no buyers remorse or regrets at all.

Perfect size for my 8 year old grandson nice weight to it. Easy to tune, appreciated the tuner, the amp not the greatest but enough for him. He was very happy with it and my nephew who plays guitar was impressed with the quality for the price.

I won't say that I was disappointed in this little guitar. I kinda knew what I was getting into. I was even a little impressed when I first opened it up to do the setup work for my daughter. The body paint is all right, but the neck is still very rough and relatively unfinished.

Alas, the real world settled in, and I had to get to work with the files. Fret ends needed filing to avoid any cuts on the fingers. The nut needed filing to improve intonation and string action/radius match.

The intonation can be difficult to correctly adjust on these very short-scale guitars, but you can get pretty close. You'll have to take the springs off of a couple of the saddles to give you enough room to bring the saddle back far enough. And you'll want to go ahead and buy a set of heavier gauge strings. This had 9-42s on it.

Does come with a tiny 9V powered amplifier. It is kind of fun and will do the job for practice. Be aware that no power supply or battery is present. And the power supply is 9V with a TIP Negative polarity.

Overall, I am happy with the purchase. YMMV, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this! Complete guitar learning set- never tested tho!

My son asked for a guitar for Christmas & I thought this was perfect and at a perfect price point! It came with everything you need for a beginners guitar kit. It includes an amplifier, picks, a carrying bag, a case/cover, picks, string & extra string, as well as instructions on how to utilize each piece.

Overall the look and feel of the guitar is great. However it has never been played or utilized yet. But if you’re looking for a gift for someone young who is beginning to learn how to play guitar- I highly recommend this one!

1.0 out of 5 stars Get what you pay for: garbage.

This product is absolute garbage. I kind of assumed that based on the price point, but it managed to somehow surpass my extremely low expectations.

The frets were actually so jagged and rough that I had to take a metal file and sandpaper to them before they approached anything close to usable. The strings were rusty, the amp has no volume (as expected), and is full of feedback. Plugging the guitar into a proper amp results in a ton of noise, presumably due to the low grade pickups and wiring. The strap is essentially razor wire designed to distract me from the quality of the guitar my lacerating my neck. And the strap falls off constantly. The bridge hardware was stripped and rusty, and one tuning machine doesn't stay tight and can't be adjusted. The intonation is way off so that if you get individual strings in tune, they still aren't in tune with each other.

If you hate your child, or love seeing them disappointed, get them this for Christmas.

The picks work great.

3.0 out of 5 stars It’s okay

He guitar and set are soooo cute. The amp worked for about twenty minutes. And then started crackling and stopped working all together. I ended up buying a new amp for it for pretty cheap that works much better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great travel sized guitar!

Keep in mind it does require an adapter chord or 9V battery to power up the amp. The guitar and everything that came with it was exactly as advertised and even exceeded my expectations. It's a perfect beginner guitar or travel sized guitar for a more experienced musician. It's super rad and fun to play. I would totally recommend this to anyone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product for kids, as described

Considering the fact that it is for a child and for a beginner, I think it’s great. The guitar came with extra strings, picks, an amp, a tuner, and a carrying case; I wish the amp came with a plug but it also takes a 9V battery, so that’s fine too; the tuner requires a watch-like battery- so haven’t tried that yet but I have an app for that ???? so all in all, well worth $100. Sounds great!
