What a beautiful instrument! Worried about the round wound strings wearing the fingerboard prematurely until I found out that jatoba is similar in hardness to ebony. Should do just fine. Love this thing!

I disliked the strings so went to 1/2 round, tried flat but very dull. Changed the nut to bone, your call. So far electronics seem ok. Might change the tuners. Good investment at the $ level and I’m enjoying Fretless.

Gives a nice old jazz base tone. However, the neck is too small and the body too heavy (the weight not typical of an Ibanez guitar).

Love this bass, very responsive and doesn't need any pedals or boards to produce a wide flavor or tones and sounds for the funkier few of us

I received this Ibanez fretless bass after counting the days to its delivery only to find that the volume knob had fallen off. Ok no big deal. Took it to guitar center and they put it on properly. But when I asked to tune it for me he plugged it in AND THE ELECTRONICS WERE COMPLETELY DEAD. He popped in a new battery and NOTHING.
The fretless bass I was dying for was DOA because the quality control on this instrument was non existent. I will not buy another instrument from this seller ever again. I never was able to hear it or play it so GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU WHO BUY HERE. I gave the standard starred reviews to fit what I assumed would have been the assessment.

To say that I was apprehensive about buying a bass sight unseen is an understatement; however, I could not be more pleased! It’s beautiful and plays like a dream. Additionally, I received it 2 days after placing my order! Now that’s customer service. Highly recommended
