My my, a budget headless fan-fret! I've been needing a good 5-string and preferably multiscale; I am saddened to say this was a morbid-curiosity kind of purchase. I was almost expecting to get scammed.
But then it got here!!! And it was exactly as advertised. A surprisingly well-put-together bass with Strandberg spec (30"-35") for the price of a Squier. With some nice fresh strings, too. Tuners work great, truss rod is sturdy, the neck finish is a really comfy satin.
And no, it's not perfect. The fret job's iffy and the preamp doesn't do a lot. But for the price point, a mod platform headless fanfret is unheard-of.
It's not a bad-sounding instrument by any means, and it feels incredibly nice in the hand. Incredibly happy with it, and hope this review gets more people to trust this relatively new and obscure brand. And now, if you'll excuse me, my band and I will be ripping into a few prog metal songs, some stoner rock and a side order of emo :)
