I got this for my grand daughter. The blue is sparkly and beyond beautiful and though it sounds odd, it feels really good to hold it in your hands. Not impressed with the mallets.
I was able to play Twinkle Twinkle within minutes, and I don't play instruments. I have no expertise to know if this is a good drum, but it's gorgeous, has lots of notes and looks like it will last many years.
The sad part is that the reason I bought this is I saw one on YouTube just being rained on in the yard and the melody was utterly enchanting. I have tried rain and the kitchen sink and barely hear a super quiet sound now and then. Certainly not an enchanting melody. Boo.
