About this item

OUTSTANDING SOUND: The dense and hard features of the basswood top produce a more resonant and dense sound. The violin bow is made from a superior white horse tail for better elasticity and faster sound transmission.
PREMIUM MATERIALS: The scroll of the 4/4 violin is made of solid maple to make it durable. The handcrafted maple bridge and body fit perfectly and can bring better resonance and richer and bright sound.
WONDERFUL APPEARANCE DESIGN: The color gradient of the scroll is natural and the lines are connected smoothly. Featuring an attractive and high gloss finish that is sure to catch the eye, this beginner violin looks as beautiful as it plays.
FULL EQUIPMENT: The full-size violin set includes a violin, portable case, bow, bridge, polishing cloth, extra set violin string, mute, shoulder rest, rosin and finger guide sticker- no need to wait or look for additional violin accessories!
PERFECT FOR BEGINNERS: This complete violin set allows novice or intermediate players to begin playing immediately after the polished bow with rosin upon unpacking the box. Perfect for use in lessons, performances or when practicing at home.

5.0 out of 5 stars not great. but highly recommended!!

This will be a confusing review. this was a test for me (74 years old and always loved violin). at $39, i expected nothing. i expected it to be a learning curve. string tightening was a problem like everyone said. one string came unhooked from its spindle. one string broke. the bridge flipped out every now and then.
BUT. i finally got two clear sharp notes with the remaining strings (lots of resin is important). the learning that i got was absolutely invaluable. now i'm going to go look for something a little better and a little more expensive. this has enough problems that it should be considered a learning experience. if you get lucky and it all stays together, then good for you. Otherwise, realize that it is an absolute ground zero device to learn from. It's a terrible little violin but i will always cherish it for letting me take the next step.
i love the little guy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother

If you are looking for a display, this might work, but if you want to play it don't bother. One of the strings was sprung upon receipt. There is no bridge and I have yet to make it work.

Love the helpful tips that came with! Like most new string instruments, the strings take a little bit of time to let them stretch into making tuning easier. They can pop out easily but are also very easy to fix. It is a great way to get attuned to taking care of a violin. I highly recommend it for beginners or those on a budget. The case is a good quality, it can handle some wear and tear from daily use and more. Is it the quality of some of the higher priced ones? Not at all, however you do get your money's worth and then some. I do recommend being patient with it because it definitely takes some work to maintain it, but it is worth it's price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for beginners

It is very finicky and the strings are not real (obviously if they were made from real material then it would cost much more) but the bow was great quality. The actual strings broke on me twice because they were not put on correctly when I tried to tune it. The tightness was not good enough and the string was not on fully. Overall great quality and shipping but need to work on manufacturing.

Not actually a usable violin without spending a lot more money to get all the parts needed for actually playing. Invest in a proper instrument. This more of a novelty item. It does look cool though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Take a little fine adjusting and a bow.
Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2023
The tone and volume of this bargain instrument is good. It's sturdy enough but you're not done when it arrives. The bridge included fits fine.
The bow is not gonna get you there. Better order a bow with real horse hair. The one included doesn't want to take to the rosin included or any rosins that I use. Maybe it's synthetic bow hair material because I can't get it to work. So,,, buy a bow if you don't have one (I'm using one of my inexpensive bows).
I adjusted the spacing of the strings at the Nut (at the peg end) with a small triangle file and a set of, "torch nozzle cleaners" (little round files) that are sold at any hardware store maybe under $5.
The neck is very slightly crooked but not very noticeable and not enough to make a difference in playing.
Finally, if you have a friend with a peg hole reamer have him/her gently ream the peg holes very slightly if needed. I think it will work just fine without bothering with this but I did it just to have them look a little better.
I'm very happy with this instrument and will use it as a travel violin. I did the same thing for a trip to Europe then donated it to a music program at our local high school. I think I'll keep this one for travel involving motel stays (with a good mute). It has a bright tone with good volume for the price. I think three stars is pretty good for a $35 violin.
