Great ukulele

Love the sound of this uke. Being a soprano, it was a little difficult to get my middle aged fingers to squeeze together to make certain chords, but i have since purchased a tenor uke. Although I always find myself picking this one back up because of the sound. And now that I've gotten a lot of the chords down, it much easier than in the beginning. This would be a great beginner uke, especially for a smaller or younger individual. The quality and sound are great.

I bought this for my daughter as a school required instrument. First, Kala makes superior ukuleles and we couldn't be happier with this one.
We also had to get a tuner and this bundle set was not only ideal but had the best price! The tote and cleaning cloth are a wonderful addition. The instrument was delivered on time in great condition!
My only gripe is that the tote bag is a little snug but we were still able to get the ukulele in. Very good buy!!!

This was my first uke, I must say it’s a blast to play. Very user friendly, and the added tuner was nice to have. No tuning problems, very nicely built and finish is durable.

Good quality and good price. This was a gift for my musically inclined granddaughter and proved to be great choice. She plays it every day. I wouldn’t have gone with black but she LOVES IT. Her music teacher says it’s a great starter instrument. It’s a good way to go to not buy the accessories separately because the package is a great price. Would highly recommend this as gift for the aspiring player.

Might Have Gotten A Lemon

Although I have read many positive reviews about the quality of the KA-15S (and Kala ukuleles in general) I may have gotten something of a lemon. The uke is an overall nicely made instrument, but a badly cut nut and a couple of questionable tuners, forced me to drop my ratings to three stars. Luckily, I was able to do the necessary work myself, so there was no added expense to make the ukulele more playable and keep it as an affordable knock-around instrument.
