5.0 out of 5 stars Surprising Bargain

I am always looking for inexpensive guitars and this Ashthorpe dreadnought has turned out to be an excellent buy. The company must have heard the complaints about ragged fret wire ends because mine is flawless. The finish is beautiful and it's a pleasure to play. The 3 band equalizer and built in chorus (presence) really enhances the sound. I've played guitar for 57 years and highly recommend this instrument. I would put it up against any guitar in the $300-$600 range.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought it for music class

I teach music to pre-K through third grade. So I wanted a guitar in my classroom. I decided I would get a cheaper acoustic. The first one I bought (from a different company) was broken when it arrived. So I ordered this one. I am very happy with the purchase. It has a good sound and good action. It is fun to play. I find this to be a good value for the money.

The finish on the guitar is really nice and it looks sharp in my class. My students love when I pull it out to play a simple chord progression. The only issue I have is the frets are a bit jagged on the edges. Not enough to cut my finger, but it should have probably been filled down a bit. Still, I love this guitar. Great for beginners or for a place where a more expensive guitar could be damaged.

This guitar is really good for being this cheap, the color is fire, it sounds good, comes with everything it says the only thing is that it doesn’t keep its tune meaning that I have to tune is more than I should. This is a good guitar for beginners or if you just want a extra guitar to play. Overall 4 out of 5

5.0 out of 5 stars For the price of this package it is great value guitar play really well

I've been playing the guitar for about 20 yrs. I have 9 guitars Ibanez, Yamaha, gretsch, Takamine.
The Ashthorpe Full-Size Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar Bundle for $89 is a barging for a beginner guitarist.
One of the things I personally liked about this bundle is it's a kit a beginner player can hit the ground running once it’s tuned up your ready to go. It has a soft case some new stings a few picks and a guitar strap and a cable for an amp. Making this bundle great for new players.
I find the action on this guitar is very forgiving on new fingers compared to some cheaper guitars. I would have no problems recommending this guitar to a new player as a first guitar. It has a great sound and nice string action. The tuning pegs are a little stiff but on the whole it is a great guitar Ashthorpe did a great job putting this bundle together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely stunning!

Honestly my mind is blown. I absolutely love this guitar! It has great tone and a deep sound to it, a few people have already mistaken it to be a Martin, and when I tell them how much I paid for it their jaws drop. Build quality is well above average for the price, frets have zero buzz, no dead frets, no cracks or inconsistencies in the woodwork, no scratches or runs in the finish, the guitar itself is beautiful and the inlay around the soundhole is remarkable. Shipping was faster than anticipated, arriving 3-4 days before the estimated delivery date. Love the natural color on it as well, I prefer a satin neck but the gloss looks amazing too. The neck is also pretty thick, I have big hands and have no issues but if you have smaller hands and have a tough time moving around a neck that’s a little thicker you may have issues, that is my one stipulation. Otherwise, this guitar is amazing. I also ordered a ukulele and another “beginner” type classical guitar from Ashthorpe, they are quickly becoming my favorite brand of instruments. Will definitely continue to order instruments from them! Get one if you’re on the fence, this guitar is truly stunning and an absolute must have for the guitar enthusiast or beginner!

Ive been playing guitar for over 30 years , and decided I would spoil myself this year with a new guitar . I have a couple , but wanted a fresh new look.. When I came across the Ashthorpe Brand , I al.ost didn't believe the price ...Solid Top , Case , extra Strings , Amazing Choice of Colors and Sizes ...I then watched reviews , and had to buy one . I was not disappointed when it arrived . These are Not beginner guitars , but in fact high quality instruments . I don't use Amps , so I stuck with the FullSize dreadnought ...Days later , I ordered another in black. At this price , you just can't go wrong ...I am sure there is nothing on the market that will give you this type of quality and playability ... I may even buy a 3rd one ...different style and color, just because they are such a great deal.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good guitar if your willing/able to do some fret filing.
Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2022
This is an allright sounding guitar. It was setup fine, no truss rod adjustments needed. The fretboard, however, was horrific. Like as in as bad as it can possibly be, with very sharp edges enough to be able to cut you. I do not know why none of the other reviews mention this. Its one of the qualities that make a cheaper guitar cheap, as it takes much work with a file and sandpaper to smoothe out the edges of the frets. It will take you at least an hour or two of work. Just be prepared as it is not playable in its out of the box condition, and would never gift this to someone who is a beginner unless you get work done on it before gifting.
