5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for Kick Drum Mic - Shure Beta 52A
Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2024
I needed a stand for my kick drum mic in the practice space. This stand has a very heavy base making it very stable. It wasn't hard to put together. Plenty of articulation to get in the proper position. No issues with a Shure Beta 52A mic. VEry decent for the price. It comes with two mic thread adapters, one is metal the other is plastic. I used the plastic one with my mic. I would have prefered metal but the plastic is just fine. It tightens down well with minimal movement throughout the whole stand. Good deal for the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid piece of kit
Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2024
A value selection and holding no surprises from that standpoint, the Innogear mic stand is a solid choice for a tabletop unit.

It offers a weighty base for good stability on flat surfaces (it’s non-adjustable for uneven surfaces) with a grippy, non-marring base pad. It’s probably too heavy for a regular travel kit, though the base does unscrew to pack down.

It is adjustable via simple dials for height, reach, and boom angle, but the mic attachement point is fixed. A swivel attachement point would be posh, but this is good for basic desktop needs.

Materials quality is decent, and should offer a decent service life on a home desktop. For example, the reach adjustment uses a simple threaded bolt to set position, but the boom runs through a plastic sleeve, so the set screw does not contact and scratch or foul the boom arm, which is a nice touch that elevates this beyond cheap, as does the fact all the hardware is black, including pivot bolts and set screw heads. The overall look is good; not stylish, not cheap, just rather basic.

I’m using 2 of these for an occasional podcast setup holding Rode NT Mini USB mics, and they do the job. Recommended for basic needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Functionality is all there

Pros:
- Heavy base, very capable of holding microphone with arm fully extended.
- Strong hinge. I never experienced any give with the weight of my microphone, the AT2035.
- Comfortable locks. Locking mechanisms are easy to tighten and loosen.
- Height. Height is adequate for having the stand on a desk.
- Feels like it will last -if treated well, of course.
- Clean. It looks sleek. I like the turn lock, its minimal looking.
- Comes with a microphone holder and screw adapter
Cons:
- U-clip Fragile. The smaller clip on the top axis broke with little effort. I received the product and I attempted to remove the clip with even force as to not pull it apart. It broke down the middle. I contacted customer service and told them that part broke and if they could send me a replacement part. They shipped me a new replace stand. The clip broke on that one too - on the first try. Perhaps its me, and I dont know how to remove clips. But I think I do, as I have had no problems with the bigger clip. I resorted to using a Velcro strap as visible in the photo.
Its not a deal breaker to me as I could get a pack of these, but its a bit disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well built Microphone Stand for the price!
Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2020
Seeing that this item has so little reviews, I couldn't help but purchase it myself to give my thoughts.

Compared to the Gator mic mount, the InnoGear does the same exact thing at $13 less and with a much smaller footprint. Of course, the materials used are a bit less premium (no hard rubber handles), but the soft touch plastic is fine enough. The weight is hefty and feels great, and the cable management clips work well.

I'm more fond of the unbranded look, so the InnoGear stand is perfect. 5/5 for me.

edit (8/27/20): noticed that the threading from the base to the horizontal arm was stripped. The arm doesn't even tighten and just sits on the exposed diameter. Going to request a replacement, but will have to knock down the score by one for now.

edit (9/1/20): replacement fixed the issue, could've been a QC thing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cable Management Clips Instantly Broke
Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2023
I just unboxed this probably 12 minutes ago and it broke already. The clips that manage the microphone cable once it's mounted broke instantly. I tried to take them off while I was setting it up, and was even super delicate since I had seen other reviews, but no dice. It snapped almost as soon as I touched it.

I believe this is an inherent design flaw. You can get a replacement, or use alternate means to secure your cable, but don't count on these being functional.

Aside from the boom arm being shorter than I expected it seems like a solid product. The base is very heavy and sturdy.
