Pros:
The thing I was most concerned about was that I had to use their app. I’ve never once installed it and have full control of the keyboard through GarageBand. I split the screen to read music in a different window. It also can be used with ForScore for basic practice but doesn’t sound as nice. I can’t wait to use it with Ableton. I haven’t tried it yet but my guess is that it will work wonderfully.
The keys feel somewhat small but perfect for on the go. They feel about the same quality as a Yamaha keyboard. Doesn’t feel weighted but will do the job for its size.
It comes with USB to USB-C AND a USB-C to USB-C cord. I thought it was just the one in my video that I recorded but found the other in the box that the speaker came in.
Cons:
The speaker has to be used to use the sustain pedal. I’m hoping to find a way to use another Bluetooth pedal within the apps but haven’t found a solution yet.
The speaker is pretty quiet. It doesn’t seem very loud so if someone was going to use it as their main sound, it might be too quiet.
Bluetooth isn’t an option for a normal person. Please plan to have a wired set of headphones if you want to use headphones with this. Take note that Bluetooth has a delay for any audio signal so this is not the fault of the piano!
