5.0 out of 5 stars Practicing on the Road is Fun Again
Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2020
Just got it and played it for a couple hours. I travel a lot for work and always have to take a bass with me to stay in practice. This is way better than my previous practice basses. The rubber-stringed ukulele bass allowed my plucking hand to get too soft to play steel strings when I returned. A very short-scale steel string bass was better for my hands, but sounded and played so bad that I dreaded practice. This Traveler bass sounds great... like a real full-sized bass. Actually the scale is close to a full-size bass. Has great punch, great sustain, and a fantastic tone. The built-in headphone amp is powerful and sounds fantastic, even better than my Vox headphone amp. The line in feature works great to get me playing along with recordings. The bass came with a good setup and almost perfectly in tune. The bass sounds so good I would gladly play it on stage if something happened to my main instrument. Suggestions for the future? - add a built-in tuner and lighten up the body or otherwise cut the overall weight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really cool bass

I've put a image of the Traveler bass(32" scale), along with a Strat, Mustang PJ (30" scale), Yamaha full scale(34"). The body and overall length are even smaller than the strat! The pickups are good and strong. The headphone thing works great,Aux in works great. I dont care for the strings, D'Addario EXL165 45-105. But that's just me, I prefer flatwounds. I had to loosen the truss rod a bit to get a little relief on it. Needs a thumbrest, I think.
