4.0 out of 5 stars Great case, great tone, great playability. Quality inspection issues.

The Kingman Bass is very playable. It puts out great tone acoustically. Better than I had expected based upon the reviews I had read and viewed. The case is solid. It fits the bass perfectly. I was very pleased with the tuner function and fact that the bass was in tune when it arrived. No buzz, no action issues.

On a negative note, I think I will be seeking either a heavy discount or return of the bass. This is more of a seller issue than a product failure as far as I can tell. The Fishman pre-amp had no tab to open it and change the battery and I found that it wedged into the body in such a way as to make for great challenge in trying to change the battery. I have not figured out how to work with this. Also, are some minor damages to the skin of the case.

I'm leaving a 4 star review of the product. However, I cannot speak for whether the pre-amp issue I am dealing with is a product or seller issue. Certainly it is a seller issue for lack of quality control.

1.0 out of 5 stars It's possible to get a $300 lemon if you buy this guitar
Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2017
My experience with this bass guitar has been this: The frets are not of uniform height on mine, and so the suggestion of the Fender company is to file them down or hammer them down. I didn't pay $300 for a guitar to have to do filing or hammering of the frets! The fret board itself does not really respond to the other adjusting that you have to do with a Fender-supplied wrench to smooth out what Fender calls the bow or the hump which may be due to shipping or climate., but which on mine is just a plain old warp. I've worked for several hours on this guitar following all the Fender directions and guidelines and it still sounds as crappy as it did right out of the box. I mean, it doesn't even play, let alone sound good. I feel totally ripped-off by this purchase, especially since Fender is supposed to be so good. Others obviously love this guitar. Mine is a $300 lemon. If you order one, hope you don't get a lemon like mine.

4.0 out of 5 stars I could not be happier with my Fender CB-60SCE Acoustic Bass
Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2018
I could not be happier with my Fender CB-60SCE Acoustic Bass. I had read some questionable reviews but I have played Fender electric basses for years so I trusted the Fender name and bought it. The sound is great both acoustically and through the pickup! Great price, great bass!
