About this item

[High-Gain Distortion]: As a High-Gain distortion pedal, Donner's Morpher sounds like a crossover between MI Crunch Box and Suhr Riot; Great for hair metal/glam metal/pop metal
[3 Distortion Modes]: Designed for richer playability; Wide dynamic range and high definition, suitable for both shredding and riffing
[Durable and Solid Construction]: A well made durable and whole aluminium-alloy design; The indicator lights clearly show the working state of the pedal
[True bypass]: The true bypass design delivers a transparent tone; During transmission, the signal remains fully intact, passing through the effects pedal with no popping, buzzing or electric noise, let alone the loss of strength and frequencies
[Kind reminder]: Power supply NOT Included; Please power your pedal with a 9V DC power adapter, center negative polarity, and a minimum of 500mA current for optimal performance

5.0 out of 5 stars Economical, Quality Construction, Cut The Noise, Keep The Signal

A fast performing noise gate (also switchable to a slower reacting noise gate). Effect pedals can introduce a great deal of noise, which only gets amplified by the guitar amplifier. This noise gate effectively gets rid of the noise (particularly distortion pedal noise). I was concerned that the noise switch would affect the signal in an adverse way--but it doesn't. A great noise gate at a reasonable price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Donner's New ABY Box is a Winner
Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2019
First of all, the value of this pedal is priceless. In other words, it is truly amazing but will not break the bank. Donner has created a pedal that operates as an ABY box as well as an AB box. Let me explain further.

An ABY box allows you to take a signal, such as a guitar in my case, and will let you connect to two amps simultaneously. I personally use two Epiphone half stacks, one of them is displayed in the photos, in order to boost my power and have louder amplification. Both amps are only 5 watt tube driven heads with matching 1 12" cabinets. I could never find an amp that sounds so amazing, but one half stack was not loud enough to keep up with a full band at practice. Donner's ABY box allows me to push my guitar signal into 2 amps that happen to be identical which doubles my power and volume.
-Figure 1 shows my guitar connected to an Epiphone Valve Jr. half stack and a Fender Frontman 10g simultaneously with the ABY feature.

The AB box feature is an added bonus. This allows you to take your guitar signal and switch it back and forth between two amps. 1 amp could have just the right clean sound and the other amp could have just the right amount of distortion. Simply click the pedal and switch between the amp of your choice. When the light on the pedal is green, it will push the signal to the amp connected to the "A" position. Click the pedal again and the red light will connect to the "B" position. These positions could be whichever amp you want connected to either output.
-Figure 2 shows the pedal being used as the ABY box pushing equal power to both amps.
-Figure 3 shows the signal switchable between the two amps. When in AB mode you can switch the signal but they cannot be sent at the same time. It's either one amp or the other but your guitar pedals and effects possibilities are unlimited.

Overall Review- As always, the construction is solid. It's all metal and the switch is easy to press yet has a satisfying click every time you tap it. The compact mini pedal design allows me to put a dozen of these Donner pedals on a tiny pedalboard! All the pedals they make are very aesthetically pleasing, in my opinion. The functionality of the ABY box is phenomenal. I paid 3 times as much for a bowtique ABY box that did not have the AB box option. The Donner box is far better in build quality and functionality. Although I've only had this pedal for a couple of days, based on the other 10 Donner pedals that I own, I'm pretty sure this will last the test of time.

Donner has done it again with a fantastic pedal and I look forward to what they come up with next.

I am a real reviewer. Not some Review Bot
4.0 out of 5 stars It's not bad nor is it that great...it just is... a 45.00 reverb
Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2018
OK so I kind of echo the same things others have said however, I am not going to jump on the same "omg this thing is outstanding sounding" bandwagon.

Sound:
Look I am not expecting to get a strymon big sky sound for 45.00 however I figured after reading the reviews this thing would be pretty damn good. I am going to put it in the category of , it is exactly what it is.. a 45.00 reverb pedal. It does nothing outstanding, but it doesn't completely suck. The spring does not sound that great(basically no rattle to it at all), the plate could really use a better algorithm. Church could use a much deeper sound. Mod does basically nothing. It's not all just "meh" though. The "studio" preset is actually my favorite. I think it sounds the best. NOW MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT on the pedal is that it has very weak max decay time. I am talking real short. You put it on church and max it out I am expecting some really long decays.....NOPE.... This is probably not a big to some of you, but for my needs it is.

Construction:
The thing feels built well, but hold any metal box this size in your hand and tell me that it doesn't. We confuse a small sturdy box with being well built. That being said it does seem fine. The knobs feel tight and not wobbly. LED is bright maybe too bright, but whatever. OH one thing I think they could change is the "click" strength of the pedal switch itself. Like if you do it with your fingers you have to give it a pretty good push to get it activated. This is a 1st world problem though so whatever. IT's sturdy. The form factor is obviously small which is great.

Value:
See this is the tough call. At 45.00 it's basically worth about that. It's not like one of those steals like the berhinger echo machine you could get for 30.00 and you got 100's of dollars in value, or like their vintage phase. This pedal is basically on par which the type of reverbs that are built in to some mixers. Even less powerful than some of those. So it's tough. It feels good in hand (as any metal box this size should), and not crazy expensive, but it's not berhinger cheap either. Its just that.

So in conclusion, its exactly what it claims to be. a 45.00 sounding reverb that feels really sturdy. No ground breaking reverbs or value. There's about 12 other reverbs in this same price range that sound probably just the same. That the issue. It's a saturated market making the decision hard with no clear winner.

I like donner as a company so far.. I have another pedal from them that works great and sounds pretty damn good.
