I am very impressed how well this microphone worked. I placed it on the piano and adjusted the volume and the recording that I made was perfect for my purpose. It didn't record the ambient noise like voices surrounding the piano. I give this microphone 2 thumbs up.

Cord length was very sufficient. I also like the appearance of the mic itself. The controls on the mic is well positioned.

The product worked immediately on my iPhone and my PC, but not on my Macbook Pro (2017). However, when I emailed for help I got a reasonably timely response, and after a few emails and a few things I was instructed to test, ZealSound figured out the problem (it was me!), made a 10 sec vid (just for me!), and kindly walked me through what a bonobo could have figured out on their own. I.e., It matters on a MacBook Pro which end of the cord goes where - the USB side + USB-C adapter goes to the Mac not the Mic! My phone and PC don't give the option to miss connect. It works great! BTW, it arrived in 1.5 days with Prime's zero shipping charge.

My intended purpose is audio narration. I have professional recording microphones that were quite expensive and reproduce sound ridiculously well. I wanted a condenser microphone that was readily adaptable to an iPad or laptop and was easier to use and could travel.

The microphone in relation to the stand is not isolated well so unless it's completely left alone, it has a lot of noise. Touch the surface it's sitting on, you'll hear it. Tap the surface and it's really loud. I have to find a way to place it so that it's isolated. Not easy for sensitive condenser microphones. That's really the big challenge at this point. Another odd thing is that the clearest path of input is straight down on top, not the front. Not what I'm used to but adaptable.

The microphone has headphone out which is great. It also has adjustments for headphone level and microphone gain. It also has a button to mute but you can't click it without making tons of noise. None of the dials have indicators so repeatability is only approximate unless you make your own marks. Overall for the price and quality, I'll gladly get it to work for my application.

I was looking at a variety of microphones for my recording studio, and tried this one. I bought an extension cord to connect it to my iphone while recording, and it is very sensitive and picks up the voice great, I will look no further!

Had the mic for around a year, and around a month ago now, the sound has just completely stopped picking up. I can hear myself through the mic still, but even after unplugging-replugging, redownloading recording software, using a different cord, and much more, I think it's beyond saving lol. the sound worked really well, I wish i had known about the monitoring before but that's on me. It isolates your voice pretty well and is easy to connect to different games and gaming services like Roblox or Discord. I do recommend, just be careful with the wires!!
