By easy, I mean that a person can pick up this recorder, and blow in to it, and it makes the sound of the instrument. That being the case, the instrument comes with a page of documentation, which covers the full fingering technique, which I plan to learn, in order for me to be able to play some of the period pieces from my Paris Music Boxes favorite songs, from an album that I purchased. The sound feels pretty authentic, it's just that I'd need to learn the fingering technique for this instrument. Blowing and making the initial sound, itself, is quite easy. A nice product, at a great price!
One note: my package that I received did not include a cleaning tool, although that's not too much of a hassle. The thing can be rinsed out, I figure, if it needs to be cleaned.
