The clarinet checks every box I was looking for. It's fairly inexpensive, easy to clean, new (because you can get used for less), and the entire set makes it really easy to get going. The reed placement and embouchure took about 2 months to adjust to play the high notes while working at my own pace, but they are now easier to play than the day it was delivered. It just took time. I also like the white look of this clarinet. Why not something different? It certainly has been a delight and I keep it right next to my work desk for those lulls in the day where a bit of clarinet will lighten my day.
And that it does, satisfyingly.
