I was very hesitant to purchase this packaging tape. I normally purchase the Duck brand. But I needed tape and this shipped the same day. Now I found my new packaging tape ???? For someone who us self employed and uses a ton of tape, this is affordable and high quality. I didn't even put it in a dispenser and it goes on soooooo smoothly. I almost want to use more tape to hear the relaxing ???? sounds it makes when being applied. It's so tough! I'm not even kidding you! Like Ft Knox tough. It felt like overkill on my packages. I like how it's see through. A truly invisible tape. ???? You won't regret buying this tape and your pocket book will thank you ????

I ordered this a few weeks ago but I wasn't out of tape yet.. Finally ran out and put a roll of this stuff on my tape gun and am very satisfied. We normally purchase our packing tape at Walmart or Home Depot.. compared to the stuff we normally buy, this tape is thicker.. Adhesion is the same as far as I can tell, but it is definitely thicker. I was using it at 60 degreesF so I can't comment on its performance under really cold temperatures but our other tape didn't do well below 30 degreesF.. didn't want to stick right..
As for the size of the roll, this tape is designed to fit professional packing tape guns, not the cute little consumer tape roll holders. If you don't own a tape gun, I suggest you buy one.
The price of this tape is cheaper than anywhere else.. You can purchase a higher quality tape like a 3M product, but you're going to pay a lot more for it, and the small benefits do not remotely justify the cost.
This tape is an excellent value.. best value I've gotten so far and we go through 10 to 30 rolls a year, sometimes more.
UPDATE: I have now had a chance to test this tape in cold(ish) air. Packing a box in the cold garage at 31 degreesF, I found this tape to adhere quite well.. better than my Home Depot and Sam's club tape actually. Not magically better, but enough to notice.. +1 for Amazon Basic's tape.

I purchased these to go with a "Duck Packing Tape Gun." This tape worked well, I only had one issue when the tape didn't cut correctly, right at the end of the roll. Works well for our packing/moving needs

Good tape, but the smell is awful

I bought two packs of this tape last June. When I opened the shrink wrap the smell was horrid. I had read some reviews about that, so it wasn't a complete shock. I am still using this tape today because it works well, but I feel like it needs a warning label about using in a well-ventilated space. I did do a quick search to see if anyone found if the adhesive was toxic, but I didn't see anything about it, so I think I'm good.

This is a much better value per foot vs. buying this at staples or wherever. My only complaint is that it kinda smells weird when you peel it off.

Altho this tape is not quite as thick as what we got from the post office, I actually liked it more because it was slightly easier to work with, when we were packing loads of moving boxes. The tape held up well on all the boxes also. Good value for the money, and I’m glad we got the extra rolls, because we ended up using all of them.
