    I have had my chair for 10 years. Office Depot purchase. The cheap wheels it came with didn't last long but I kept the chair regardless. Today I got these because my dog's paw got caught under the only broken wheel. Worst sound I ever heard, but he was okay. Replaced the wheel and now I am wondering why I didn't buy these 10 years ago. I am definitely sitting higher and for some reason, the chair just feels better. My 10-year-old chair, torn up from a cat I got off the street 3 years ago, it honestly feels better.

    These roll better than the OEM wheels, feel better than the OEM wheels, and just, just is better than the old OEM wheels. Buy them when you buy your new chair.

    Truely a great upgrade to your chair. I bought 1 set of these $20 units and one set of the $40 units. They are the same, if not better. I returned the $40 wheels and bought two more sets of these.

    If you are planning on riding an office chair at a skate-park these wheels are perfect for you! They are sturdy, silent and move very smoothly.
    But at your desk on hardwood floors, a sneeze, a breeze, or just standing up will send your chair off to the other side of the room. I wish there was a way to tighten down the bearings like on skate wheels or install a brake or something.

    EDIT: I wrapped rubber bands around the forks(?) of 2 of the wheels. it's enough to slow down the chair so it doesn't roll away in the breeze. Also it is fun to silently float around on your office chair sometimes. So I'm happy with this purchase.

    on my hadwood floors, these do less damage but make SURE TO KEEP SAND/DIRT OFF THE FLOOR.
    If there is anything on the floor, it will cause some damage but, keeping a clean area or on a mat, is perfect. so easy to move around int he chair and adjust things and has not harmed my floors. excellent option!
