    A magnifying glass lamp with a base like this is incredibly useful for so many things. General odds and ends, arts and crafts - but also things like soldering, knitting, painting figurines, cosplay maintenance... and the list goes on. I use this for all sorts, and it truly is an amazing product.
    For a start, it clamps well and easily to any surface - reliably sturdy and won't fall off or wobble at all. The arm can be articulated into various positions without fear of breaking; so it truly is versatile. The lamp itself is great - obviously in the evening or nighttime, when the light makes a world of difference. There are countless brightness options, so you can customize this thing to whatever level you're happy with. It also has three types of lighting, from clinical white to something warmer and easier on the eye.
    The magnification of the glass lens is times five, which is more than perfect for small, hands-on things.
    For the price, this is a well-made, fairly neutral magnifying lamp. Highly recommend it.

    This is one of the best magnifying glass lamps with a stand I have ever used. I work at a lab. This lamp is way better than other ones we used in the lab. I honestly have to say this would be a 5-star lamp. It is great in most aspects. It's very compact. The base is nice and sturdy. It comes with both the stand and a convenient table clamp. The light is extremely bright and with the controller you can adjust the brightness levels and even the light color. I'll be using the blue/cool light mode the most. The magnifying glass is very large and helps a lot with viewing things like on receipts for example.
    Just be careful when extending the arm of the lamp. You need to follow the instruction on the user manual to make sure you install correctly and use in the right way. Highly recommend.

    All in all, this is a fantastic lamp, especially at this price.

    I needed a lamp for being able to do detailed drawing work as well as some fine metal work.

    PROS:
    - very positionable, and lighted head turns 360
    - you can even use it as a sort of ring light, in a pinch :)
    - 3 different color temperatures are all different and useful
    - The joints are tight and do not slip
    - Base has an indented circular area for things like paperclips or - as in my case - a cup of coffee LOL
    - Comes with the optional clamp, so you can use it stand alone with the base or clamped to a desk or table

    CONS:
    - I wish it were brighter
    - Mine came with a small dent at the base which I only noticed when taking photos for this review (!)
    - the magnification could be somewhat stronger, but at this pricepoint, its terrific.
    - it will tip if you have the head pushed ALL the way over and down and you don't have the base weighted

    This magnifying glass lamp comes with decent quality, lots of articulation. The option to use the stand or clamp is very useful. The 9 watts of LED illumination spreads evenly and is nice and energy efficient. 3 color shades of white are selectable from the controller switch and with many dimmer levels too. The base is nicely weighted and holds the lamp in place firmly. The clamp is very sturdy and you can easily attach it to any suitable place especially when working on a desk table. The glass lamp comes with a very high quality packaging. The magnifier is real glass which is very easy to use and perform difficult tasks in a easy way. I'm super happy with this purchase.

    As I get older, my eyes get quite irritated with my contacts. For my mother, who has just delved into the complex world of embroidery while I take on some sewing projects, this is even more true. The main issue with some of her embroidery designs is that connecting threads need to be cut after the colour has been changed, and neither of us can really get the thread tight enough to the towel to make it look truly neat. With the magnification, the readily movable arm to where we are working, and the added LIGHT (sooooo great on the eyes), this was a lifesaver for her projects.
    As long as there is a plug nearby, it is simple to assemble and transfer to pretty much any table we are working at. It has been useful to me when I'm attempting to add sequins to a specific region. Before I acquired this gorgeous lit magnifying lamp, dark sequins on dark fabric were definitely the torment of my sewing existence. On darker cloth, I can now get the holes the first time every time, which speeds up my labour. Love this lamp.

    This light is nice except the power cord and USB plug gets super hot. I stopped using it has soon as I realized. The return window is closed unfortunately. I do not recommend buying.

    I could not use this lamp without clamping it to the table. Too top heavy to use with just the base. Lamp had to be directly over the base not to fall over. Joint/springs were stiff and ackward. Retuned.

    I recently started painting miniatures. My age and eyes led me to the unfortunate knowledge that better lighting and magnification would be necessary for my new hobby. This light rig has made the process easier and more enjoyable. It can be clamped to a table or set up on the weighted base (which is included). It has multiple lighting levels (pretty sure it's five) as well as 3 different lighting styles. The magnifier and led lighting allows me to see the smallest detail without taking up my work station with multiple pieces of equipment that have to be moved around everytime I want to change an angle. Great light/magnifier at a good price.
