For this task this light works Great. stands about 7" high unfolded. Has three brightness settings. The length of the lamp head gives a nice distributed light for my work. It would also work well as a desk light to read a textbook by.
It comes with a USB cord to charge the battery. I charged it off my tower PC and that took between 2 and 3 hours the first time. I am not sure how long the light burns on a charge. I turn it on and off in short bursts only using it briefly when I need brighter light.
Each of the 3 segments that compose the light are about 7" long and perhaps 2 inches wide. It folds up into a small neat package. It would be easy to carry around.
For its price I am very satisfied with it.
