First of all I must stress that these are PAINT markers and not Alcohol based markers. Both are good, but both behave slightly differently.
This being said, these Posca markers are great. The color is bold, and really pops out on what you are using them on. However, these are NOT wide tips. They have a nice point to them and are not super fine. With the right angle, you can get a variety of thickness.
Now, I've seen reviews that say that they pool out too much, and yes this can happen, but if you're careful you can prevent this from happening. This can also happen to other kinds of markers too. I started by slowly pressing the tip gently, and watched for the paint to start filling the nib. Once it stared I lifted the pen and waited for it to fill completely. The paint then smoothly flows out as you run it along the object you're drawing on. You may have to go over your line a few times to get a solid line, but with patience it'll look nice. Let the paint dry completely before going over it, otherwise the colors will bleed into each other. As I said, these paint markers are great. Colorful, bold, and works on many different surfaces. Just be careful and don't press down too hard, or the paint will pool out everywhere. I've included a test run of these on common scrap paper. No bleed through as long as you don't keep the pen on one spot for too long.
