The size of this board couldn’t have been more perfect for my elementary and middle schoolers going back to school. I really am most impressed with the quality to lightness of such a classy board. The most valuable qualities are labeled for first and last day of school. My favorite of all is the adorable choose of washable tiny colored markers that come with this to write with. First one I have ever seen that didn’t require plain white chalk I always lose. Bonus points for also including a wipe off cloth, that is of high quality as well. Entire set is made durable to last for years to come. Highly recommend across the board.

I used the board for the first day of school year for my granddaughter. It worth getting it I erased everything for the last day of the school year it comes with markers and wipes they are made of microfiber it’s incredible

2023-09-03. First & Last day of school board by Melisheer. 12.6" x 11". Double-sided. Chalk Markers. Wipe. Reusable. Wood frame.

Every year I get my kids a new board and have them fill it out and I get a picture of them. Just something we do so we can see how much they've grown and matured throughout the years of school. This 1st day of school board is a little busy in the sense that it's pretty cluttered; however, it contrast in colors does make it readable.

The set comes with pretty much everything you need. The board itself has a permanent template printed with in vibrant colors and there are chalk markers in similar shades that you can use to fill in all the personal information. There are 6 chalk markers in total and I though this was really cool. The ink dries very quickly and is water soluble. The chalk marker come in Green, Yellow, Blue, White, Pink, and Red. As cool as these chalk markers are, the pink did not show well (it appeared faded), and the Red does not look red at all (see pictures).

The quilted wipe is great. It's generously big, soft, and works very well. Just wet it a little and wipe. The marker come away instantly. I also tested this leaving the chalk markers over 2 weeks and it still came out clean with a wet cloth after one swipe. The wipe will pick up the ink so you'll need to clean it eventually. I haven't thrown it in the wash to test it, but the ink being water soluble, I don't see an issue with it. I also tried cleaning the board with a damp napkin, it's just as effective as the cloth in removing the chalk marker.

The only other notable I have is that one of my two frames came gapped. I tried to close the gap, but the angled cut of the wood doesn't allow for it (it was just poorly cut). The other frame is fine though (see pics). Aside from this, the set retails for $13, but is currently (at the time of this posting) is on sale for $10 ($5 apiece) which is not a bad deal considering the set does include the chalk markers. Bottom line, some of the marker colors don't work so well an the frame may have a quality issue, but at $5 apiece, it serves my one-time use without breaking the bank.
