I purchased this Neo-Tec, 3-pack, and was impressed by the apparent quality of the chains, seeing no observable difference between the Neo-Tec's and comparable Oregon chains which are more expensive. We always want to purchase American manufactured products, but when the disparity in price is so great for the same quality, one is almost compelled by common sense to purchase the less expensive foreign made product.
I installed one of these chains on a brand new Echo CS-310 chainsaw, and despite the fact that the chainsaw has not been broken in and tuned to reach its full power potential, I found the saw to cut very fast and aggressively with the Neo-Tec chain. In fact, since these chains are not designed specifically for low kick-back performance, one must be extra careful to control the saw while cutting with them. In addition to the low price, I purchased these chains expressly for their more aggressive design. I can not attest to the durability of the chains, but the one I used held its sharpness for the few hours that I used it. Fact is, most chains become dull not from cutting wood, but from cutting dirt that they encounter on the wood or under the wood.
