    The only thing I don't like are the plastic parts that engage the flywheel to start the mower. That is what broke on the original. Just wish they were a little more durable but the first one lasted more than 10 years.

    I have used this recoil assembly on a few of the mini bikes on the channel, The internals are built a little differently than the one that comes on a Predator but So far so good. It works with a predator cup or the cup that comes with the kit. Good recoil for the price . Youtube BLACK66

    This unit appears to be same quality as OEM. However OEM used rivets that worked loose and caused the starter to fail. This unit has nuts and lock bolts so maybe that will help unit to last longer.

    My lawn mower’s starter cable snapped after 7 years of use, and it turns out it was due to a leaky carb that was dumping fuel into the cylinder as it sat unused. Made the engine hard to crank at first and became too much for the old cable to handle.

    I got this cable before I realized the root cause and initial fitment wasn’t perfect - it kinda had to be squeezed to fit through all of the bolt holes on my 190cc mower engine. However, once it was installed, it worked great and highlighted the hydro lock issue I was having. Now that I fixed the leaking carb, my mower starts with ease. I’ve probably started it only 10-15 times since replacement, so I guess only time will tell how durable it is.
