5.0 out of 5 stars Love this big shovel!

As many have said, this shovel is great for light snow in the 3-4" range. I did not have a problem lifting even heavier snow with the shovel, but because of the width (48"), it did have a tendency to tip one way or another if there was more snow on one side. The fact that it covers such a great area and pushes the snow the sides of the driveway make this a quick job. It's probably taking half the time or less for me to shovel our driveway. But it's also great at very quickly cleaning up after snowblowing.

I found that the plastic blade does a very nice job scaping the concrete effectively. It feels very sturdy in the hand.

Assembly was not easy, but manageable. It took a lot of leverage and force to get the screws to get into the plastic in order to assemble to handle to the blade. But if that means it won't come off or loosen, then I'm good with needing to apply that much effort. I'm 52 6'1" 200lbs and workout 4-5 days per week and it took all I had there to get them in. Using a smaller drill bit to pre-drill would have made the process much easier and I highly recommend.

My wife who does not usually shovel had to use it while I was traveling and said she loved it. No better endorsement from my perspective! My neighbor has the 36" and loves it. When my current smaller shovel wears down I will buy a smaller version of this for sure!

I hung the shovel using the bracket and screws that came with the shovel. Do not rest on floor or it will warp according to others. Maybe I just missed it, but I didn't realize it came with a wall bracket. It was simple to install and will prevent the warping.

Worked so well we didn't get a flake of snow after I made this purchase. We have long, hilly, windy driveway and it's a huge pain keeping it clear in the winter. We often get 1-3 inch dustings, which, if not dealt with consistently, will compact into ice. It takes me about 60-90 minutes to get everything cleared with a normal shovel.

What I can report on: easy to assemble, seems very sturdy. At 48 inches wide I'm excited to see how fast I can shovel a few inches of snow off the driveway.

It works great, and is a fast and efficient way to clear off the driveway and sidewalks if the snow is not to deep. For those jobs, I use my ATV.

5.0 out of 5 stars I only wish they made a 54" version

This thing GLIDES over the concrete. Pushing snow is near effortless. I got the 48" wide version, and I can clear the sidewalk in a single pass (although it's not quite wide enough to clear the curb in the same pass). The driveway takes less than half of the time that a regular shovel does.

It can catch seams in the concrete if you're not careful, and the brace flexes a little if you catch only one side, but it's reasonably sturdy and everything that I hoped for. I was a little nervous about going so wide that I may not be able to push it. The UHMW slips nicely over the concrete with very little drag. I don't get super deep snow falls (usually less than 4"). Deeper snow may necessitate one of the narrower ones.

Assembly was pretty easy, but I recommend pre-drilling the holes. The self-drilling screws struggled to drill through the handle. Definitely recommend using a drill rather than a screwdriver.

If you've only got sidewalks to clear, I would recommend a 30" or 36". Even with the 48" width, I have to make a second pass to clear the curb (plus I have to walk back to the house anyway). But if you have a big driveway, this will make short work of it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Big snow shovel

This is a well-built extra-large pusher snow shovel. I use this just to push the snow 3-4 feet away from buildings before i use a big snow thrower. Works well but if there is ice under the snow it tends to bog down as the blade grabs the ice. On flat surface it is great and clears snow fast. This works well on large decks also.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4 car driveway. Minutes to sweep away.

After trying to find this shovel locally, we gave up. The neighbor across the street had a36" that he would let us borrow. Worked great. But we have a 4 car driveway. The 48" (4ft for those mathematically challenged) was the ticket for us.

As many youtube's will show, you can't let the snow get much more than 3 or 4 inches if you are shoveling a long ways. And as you get to where you are pushing the snow to, you will need a snow "shovel" not the snow "Pusher" to throw it.

Get that down and you will have a fun, yes I mean fun time snowing.

Once we received ours, several neighbors asked for the amazon link so that also purchased the 48".
And they did.

Highly, highly recommend this, AND ONLY THIS BRAND/SHOVEL to anyone.

Very well built and does the job in recording braking time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great timesaver for 1-2" of snow and long driveway
Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2024
This plow works great for 1-2" of snow on smooth asphalt driveway. With the 48" version I can clear my 100' driveway in 4 passes and takes just a few minutes. I also have concrete paver front and back porch where the pavers are not perfectly level so the front of the blade will catch. To fix this I cut a couple of 2" pieces of 3/4" PVC and then cut a split lengthwise to fit over the blade, and secured with a screw. This gives just enough lift to glide over the pavers without catching. Performance on the smoother asphalt driveway does not suffer as 99% of the snow is removed. The 48" version is a bit awkward in tight spaces but makes up for that on the wide open driveway. Overall I am happy.

This saves me a lot of time pushing snow unless it's deep, then it takes more time but not as much as with a regular snow pusher. Glad I bought it.
