    I was skeptical about the idea of this. Didn't think the wifi would reach to the house, or if the solar panel would charge the camera enough. But everything as worked amazing. the solar panel gets about 3 hours of sunlight per day and the camera stays at 100%. It's been a month and I haven't had to bring the camera in to charge it yet. The camera quality is excellent. Photos are crisp and clear and the video has smooth playback.
    Assembly was very simple. Mounting was even easier. I used the tree wrap which fit around a pretty good size Pine tree. Solar panel is also easy to install.
    The motion detection is spot on with the notifications so I can go to the live feed and still see the birds sitting there enjoying their morning snack.
    The alarm I imagine would scare away the squirrels, but oddly enough I haven't had any squirrels try to get into the food yet. The light on the camera is bright and lights up the area around the camera well.
    I haven't tried the AI Bird recognition yet. Will update the review when used.

    I bought this bird feeder for my elderly (mid-80's) parents for Christmas as they already had a couple of feeders that they enjoy watching. This is next level amusement tho. My husband got it set up for them as the tech may have been a little more than my Dad could master. It seemed to take the birds a day or two to find it but once they did the word spread in the bird world that there was a fancy new feeder in town and they started flocking to it by the dozens. My dad has to refill it about once every day & a half!! (I guess now I'd better buy him some more seed! LOL) I THOUGHT the model I ordered included both the solar panel and the AI bird identification but I was mistaken - I only got the solar panel so read the product description closely before ordering as these features are both apparently options. They mostly get cardinals and wood peckers, a few Jays and some varieties of finches & wrens. Sometimes there's barely room for everyone to fit!! We installed it on top of an old close line pole so it would have a sturdy post and be in a spot where the solar panel will get lots of sun. I was worried they may have problems with squirrels but so far they've left it alone!! The app is a nice feature to have - it really keeps my parents occupied!! It works quite well and has good quality pictures.

    (ETA right after I submitted this review they got hit by a raccoon during the night - 49 times in 2 hours! Drained the battery down to 13% with all of their shenanigans. Wiped him out of food. Uggg. Lesson learned to not refill the feeder right before dark.)

    I bought this for my grandma as a Christmas present. It came with all sorts of means to mount the feeder which I really appreciated. It was easy to setup and install. The picture quality is good and I subscribed for the bird identification ai.

    The only reason I won’t give it 5 stars is because you can’t view the videos on the desktop web portal. My grandma is old school and prefers using the computer over her small phone. When I looked into it it seems only the netvue pro series cameras are able to be viewed from the website. The bird feeder is not a pro device.

    The media could not be loaded.
    I love my Birdfy feeder. It is a new hobby/addiction that I enjoy to watch every day. It can be time consuming but it’s a matter of how much down time you want to choose in your settings and what videos you want to watch or just delete but you may not see a new bird appear until later in the video that does not show in still picture. The only downside is the app hasn’t identified 2 birds which I have sent to support to see if they can add to my app bird choices. The ladder-back woodpecker shown in attached video is not shown as a choice in the app which I hope they will add. This feeder is the Lite version so does not have the automatic Al bird identification.

    I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my teenager as she loves feeding, watching and identifying birds. It’s really easy to assemble, set up and fill/refill. I definitely recommend the solar panel as we have yet to charge the device itself after a month of continuous use. We also purchased the accessory pack with the larger perch which allows for several birds to eat at one time and be seen on the camera. We are also excited to try the other accessories that came with the pack to see if we can attract some orioles and hummingbirds birds! Definitely recommend this product to any bird lover!

    Could not get the unit to connect to our network. Exhausted the trouble shooting so I had to return. Too bad because it looked like it would be a fun item for bird watching

    We bought multiple bird feeders for family and decided to get one for ourselves. Luck would have it that ours developed this blurry spot right in the center of the camera. I emailed customer service at Netvue and they were quick to respond and quick to process an order for a replacement bird feeder. The new one is up and working great.
