    We have used this pump since November of 2022 and have had zero issues. It just works and fast. We use it to drain rain water from the cover on our 24ft above ground pool. At times, we have left it on to catch overnight rain and for those pop up showers that occur. It works in shallow water or completely covered by water. It also came in handy to drain residual water when we drained our hottub.

    I was shocked that it actually does what it says it will do. We always get water stuck in the pool cover which weights it down and breaks the cover. As soon as there’s rain, it turns on and sucks it out. A hose doesn't come with it, but we got one and attached it easily. Highly recommend!!!

    I can’t begin to say how many pool cover pumps I have purchased overtime. I feel like none of them actually last an extended period of time. I use two pumps on my pool cover; one for the pool and one for the spa. This year both of the pumps failed. When I went to replace them, I impulsively bought a different brand frustrated with the fact that these failed. It was a good deal and while I don’t necessarily regret it in retrospect, the new pump does not come with a warranty like these do. I reached out to the company for these pumps regarding the warranty since they were not working. After several emails proving purchase and sending a video to show the issues. They made good on the warranty. Knowing that Pool pump covers do not typically last, I did actually buy another one of these due to the fact that their customer service was so excellent. They were in daily communication with me via email and provided me with a credit of the original purchase price. I would’ve been happy with a replacement pump and therefore used the replacement credit to purchase another one from them. There may be stronger pumps or other deals but for me having a warranty with a company that backs it is most important.

    Worked fine the first few rains, then quit. No customer support number so you can't call but did fined a service email, suppose to reply in 24 hours, but again, haven't heard back in three days! I would not recommend this pump.

    Update - customer service did reply and gave me a check list of things to do, which I already did when it first quit, but this time it worked??? Maybe sitting on my workbench for a week dried things out, I don’t know but it’s working again. We will see how long it lasts this time….

    I purchased the Acquaer 1/4 HP Automatic Swimming Pool Cover Pump in late October 2023, hoping it would serve me well as a pool cover pump in the Northeast over the harsh winter months. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been nothing short of frustrating.

    From the start, the pump never worked well, requiring constant resets to get it to function. I had to intervene repeatedly, which defeated the purpose of an automatic pump. Despite my efforts, the pump's performance continued to deteriorate.

    Recently, as I prepared for this season's closing, I discovered that the pump no longer works at all. I've attempted to contact the company multiple times via phone and email, seeking support and guidance, but my efforts have been met with complete silence.

    Based on my experience, I would not recommend the Acquaer pool cover pump to anyone. In hindsight, I regret not purchasing another Wayne pump, as my previous one lasted almost 10 years without issues. I was trying to save a few dollars, but it's clear that you get what you pay for.

    If you're in the market for a reliable pool cover pump, I strongly suggest exploring alternative options. The Acquaer pump's poor performance, lack of support, and short lifespan make it a product to avoid.

    Don't make the same mistake I did – invest in a quality pump that will serve you well for years to come.
