Four stars because the first time we bought it, it was magical. The second one we bought still gave us some weeds. Would still buy again though.

We live in a housing plan ( ick) and the neighbors all pay for a lawn company to come and fertilize. My wife and I are cheap and didn’t want to hire anyone, but were also sick of looking like the culdesac trash. So, we decided to try this stuff. Let me tell you, the first time we bought it, our yard looked BETTER than most of the other yards for a fraction of the price. We had. No weeds and our grass was dark green and lush. Second time we bought it must have been a bad batch or something. Still made our grass lush, but we had quite a few weeds. We plan to buy it again though since it worked so well the first time. Maybe the second time was user error…

The applicator worked better than any I have used. The product went on easy and evenly. Results are not immediately obvious but the Scott's products usually work as expected.

The dandelions in my neighborhood are getting out of control every year. Every April they get worse. Each neighbor's dandelions move on to the next yard and so on and so forth. Just get a bag of this and I suggest a push spreader. Just get a cheap one, doesn't matter. Either water your lawn or weight until it just rained and is not going to rain anymore and put this stuff down so it sticks to everything and it'll work. If you do it while it's dry it will get blown away or go straight down to the dirt. You need it to stick directly to the grass and weeds. Be forewarned though, it will get rid of the weeds but it will also make the grass grow very quickly lol. But it's the compromise you have to do if you don't want your yard looking like total garbage all of April and May until the dandelions usually go away on their own at the end of May.

Some spots are pretty bad, but will continue to see if it dies where it is the worst. I am happy to see results. It’s only been a week and it said to reapply in tougher areas if needed. I bought 4 bottles as it was a great price! Happy with the results so far!

There is a consistency problem with the system i had to order to units because the first one would not mix and spray. After 20 minutes the bottle was still full. Second unit worked fine but there is a discernable difference in the spray nozzle configuration. The units were both ordered from Amazon just a week apart. In terms of effectiveness, I am not yet convinced that it is that effective. I do not see a marked change in the lawn after 2 weeks. I wanted to use the non- dispensed liquid in a separate spray device but Scott's would not provide me with the correct mix ratio. I am not impressed.

I tried this once a few years ago on the yard at my old house and it killed the lawn. I figured I'd try it again, now that I'm a little more knowledgeable about lawn care. I'm good at fertilizing my lawn and the grass comes in thick and green but there is too much clover and a leafy weed that I can't identify. It's been that way for the last 3 years at the new house. Thought I'd try Weed and Feed again. I even put it on light, setting the spreader less than recommended on the bag. I made sure not to overlap the spreading at all, and I don't spread with turning so the stuff doesn't get concentrated in any spots. Still got big dead patches for the first time in 3 years. I even only used Scott's on one side of the driveway and the side where it was applied is the only side with spots. It killed the weeds... and the grass... and then weeds soon come on where there is no grass. Now, this was a very dry summer, but still, neighbors yards didn't get big dead patches and again,,, they were only on one side of the driveway. I notice the spots in the shade did fine, but anywhere the sun hits the Weed & Feed kills the grass. I'll spend hundreds to reseed next year. I'm never buying Scott's again because after 16 years, following the instructions and multiple attempts they keep killing my lawn.
