5.0 out of 5 stars A Solid, Inexpensive, Portable Power Station
Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2024
There is a lot to like about the OUPES Exodus 600. So far in my testing it it is working great and meeting my expectations for a small power station. Currently I mostly use it to cook my lunch with a Loglogic mini when on the road (see photo), to act as a big battery for my laptop or to be a UPS to keep my PC running when in the office (we have blackouts at the first sign of rain). Here are my pros and cons so far:

PROS:
1) Decent measured AC power conversion efficiency of about 85% (I don't have a way to measure the DC efficiency, reviewers say it is also good and it seems fine in my unmeasured testing)
2) UPS feature means this can keep your PC or other electronics running during a blackout
3) High AC output for it's size at 600 Watts
4) It charges amazingly fast, being fully charged in less than an hour
5) Super helpful FB group that the company responds to
6) Light weight & super portable at around 8 pounds
7) Screen is small but shows everything you need to know, battery percentage, input and output watts, etc.
8) A high for its size, 240 watt solar input capability. This thing charges fast by wall or by solar
9) Quiet, variable speed fans that don't run unless you are charging fast/drawing a lot of power. It is a lot quieter than my other, fancier name brand station, which is why I use it more often
10) Very aggressive pricing making it cheaper than other brands

CONS:
1) Plastic case feels a little thin. Not terrible but not rugged built either
2) No app control - no Bluetooth, no WIFI at all. This could be considered a pro for the app weary
3) No direct car battery charging. The MPPT controller input starts at 15 watts. This thing is really geared for fast wall charging or fast solar charging with a 200 watt solar panel

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Unit for Low Power Needs
Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2024
The Oupes Exodus 600 is perfect for your low power needs. I have tested the unit for a few days now and can say the unit has been reliable so far. The portability is awesome weighing just over 8lbs. Charging the device is very quick on either AC or solar. It can provide high power output far a very brief time, which is a good option to have...but the main usage I see is for charging phones, running laptops or tablets and to power lights during power outages.

I would have liked a little more than 256Wh capacity but I guess that is what the 600 plus provides. I would suggest looking at other Oupes products with higher power for powering appliances during power outages. This is a low power option that provides great portability with the trade-off of being low power capacity.

1.0 out of 5 stars No AC voltage. AC output was DOA.
Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2024
When selecting AC voltage switch the AC icon appeared in the display but no AC voltage was delivered to either AC outlet. Product was well packaged but just didn't work. Includes the power cable with C13 plug. DC charging requires a 7909 male connector to charge from a solar panel or other DC source - no adapter provided.

5.0 out of 5 stars DON'T plug into a CFCI/CFI circuit in an old trailer!
Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2024
This is a WONDERFUL little guy and I'm glad I have it! I do have a caution, however. It arrived today, I unboxed & plugged it into a convenient place that just happened to be in the kitchen. It showed me it was at 59% charge; circuit breaker immediately flipped & everything was dead... Advice from a knowledgeable friend said that GFCI/GFI circuits are "delicate" & I should plug the little guy in somewhere else. The circuits remained dead even after resetting at the breaker box. It wasn't until we found a reset button on a kitchen outlet that those other outlets sprang back to life.

That problem solved, I plugged it in at an outlet far away from plumbing. It arrived at 59% charge; it achieved 85% charge in 18 minutes. I turned it off at that point, unplugged, then charged my phone using this nifty little thing. Phone charged right up in only a few minutes :)

I have other alternative energy sources, including a gas generator and a HEAVY large capacity solar generator (Bluetti). But this little guy? It weighs a whopping 8 pounds, about the same as a gallon jug of water or milk. I wanted something I could use to run a coffee pot, charge phones, run a light, and maybe a laptop. This little guy is just the ticket. Just plug it in for charging in a circuit that is NOT CFGI/CFI. The issue may not exist in other settings - I live in a modular (translates: 3-section trailer) that's at least 24 years old; Dr Google tells us that many CFGI/CFI circuits last only for 15 years or so. Plug-in location should be less of an issue in a newer place or a stick-built one.

We "tried" this product. Charged the first time just fine. Love the weight. Charged a power bank through the USB port - Screen was great - output clear, how many hours left - clear, percent remaining clear. Charged an iPad through the AC port, no output reading on the screen. It did charge the iPad and the percentage decreased but no reading on the output.

Came with no additional cables except to charge through the AC and no instructions or cables for using other solar panels.

plugged it in - heard a pop - thought it might be the fuse - changed the fuse - not working at all now...
