I spent a good week putting this new Jackery 1000 through it paces. When it arrived, I was already surprised at the size of the box. It was smaller than I expected. I unpacked it finding the Jackery 1000, a solar charging adapter, 12V car charging adapter and the AC charging brick. The Jackery user guide, and all documentation is in Jackery style, easy to read and understand.
The Jackery 1000 is compact and very light for a 1000 watt portable power station. Weighing in at just a touch over 22 lbs, it is a lightweight with heavy performance. The large handle makes it easy to grab and take with you anywhere. In the car, on a picnic, outdoor party, camping, emergency, job site, you have power to go. It has 3 AC plugs that produce clean AC 110V, and up to 1000 watts combined. The AC power inverter is pure sine wave for sensitive electronics like your laptop and appliances. a 12V DC cigarette plug that has regulated 12V output. USB 2A and a USB quick charging port. Lastly, the Jackery sports 2 USB-C ports. Now you can connect your oldest and newest devices for charging.
The first thing I did was to get the unit fully charged. Since it was a sunny day, I charged it per solar. It arrived 38% charged, and the 200 watts in solar panels had it fully charged in about 5 hours. The new solar charging adapter is sleek, easy to use and allows for connecting two panels per 8 mm barrel plugs. The adapter connects to the Jackery per Anderson connector.
Since I had 1000 watts in this little package, I wanted to see what I could really run with it. So, I started with my full size refrigerator in our kitchen. It is a 22 cu. ft. bottom freezer unit. I plugged it in and it handled it with ease. I let it run over night for a total of 10 hours. It still had 33% left. I then fully recharged per the AC brick.
Now to the special part for me. The 12V DC output. This is a regulated 12V output. That means that it can reliably provide 12V DC power through its discharge cycle. So you can plug in your DC powered fridge/freezer and other DC powered appliances without the worry of errors and shutdowns due to low DC power. I plugged in my 52 qt DC powered fridge freezer and let it run almost 3 days in freezer mode. It ran with without a single error. Now that is impressive.
I plugged in a lot of USB devices ranging from older tablets, to new phones and took advantage of all of the USB ports. Everything charged flawlessly. I would have liked to seen the addition of a 45W PD port, but I am sure Jackery is planning that for the next unit. The USB PD port does deliver 18 watts. I tested the output with my USB tester, and all ports delivered the expected power without any deviations.
Other things I powered over the course of a week were a laptop, lamps, a projector, and even my entire entertainment system with 60" TV and surround sound system with amplifier and 6 speakers. I even connected two sump pumps, each with 3 HP electric motors at the same time. Everything I threw at the Jackery 1000 ran without problems.
This is a very reliable and compact unit that can literally go with you anywhere. It is lightweight, extremely practical, mobile, and very powerful. It is very versatile and has so many uses. So if you are looking for a compact powerhouse that can tackle even big loads up to 1000 watts, this is the perfect companion. It is a great value for the price and I give it 5 stars.
