Excellent bird food. Birds love it and there really is NO mess. No messy black sunflower seeds and corn everywhere. YEAH! Will only buy this one in future.

This product is great! I’ve tried a lot of wild birdseed and there’s always so much waste with those little yellow round seeds. It truly is no waste. I have all kinds of songbirds and some lovebirds and the porch is almost always clean.

I put this in my first-ever bird feeder and we hung it about 13 feet from our house. By the third day, every little yellow bird in our county was in my back yard! I quickly bought another bag, and within five days, both 20 lb bags had been devoured!

We had such a gathering of different species all getting along well. They were so fun to watch, I just hope we can afford to support them in the new lifestyle they are getting accustomed to.

They love this feed, and of course they make a horrible mess. Granted, the mess isn't shells and trash bits, it's food, and some of the larger birds eat it off the ground. I'm just hoping we don't attract rats & mice.

Four some reason Amazon ask me to review the smell and the taste, The texture and the durability. How would I know about the taste? Or the smell? Or the texture? The durability is not relevant because it is and then no longer in my birdfeeder. Good value for money.
The difficulty is that it has many small seeds that fall out of the birdfeeder onto the floor of the porch when I fill the birdfeeder and I hang it up. Somewhat of a mess.

The birds absolutely loved this seed mix. I was having to refill the feeder in the morning, and early evening daily. (I put approximately 32oz. in feeder each feeding) The smell of cherries was strong but pleasant. Had different varieties of birds coming to visit as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great for New Jersey birds
Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2024
I realize that I should have read the label more closely. Where we live in New Jersey, we have a lot of robins, blue jays, blackbirds, mourning doves, sparrows, cardinals and woodpeckers, among others. These seeds do attract cardinals, although not as many as we have with other foods. Mourning doves, sparrows and woodpeckers have shown no interest. Neither have any of the others, but I realize they are not listed as targets.

The mix also has a very strong cherry smell which I don't love. Lastly, I was cleaning the feeder and some of the seeds at the bottom had started to germinate, which should not happen in a seed mix.

5.0 out of 5 stars Birds & Squirrels Love the Food
Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2024
I hung a bird feeder from a tall metal rod in the corner of my yard. I fill the feeder every few days with this food. The feeder has caused a small ecosystem to develop. The birds come and go to the point where they pretty much finish all the food in one day. There is one type of bird with bright red spots on their wings, and they are picky eaters, and swipe much of the food to the ground with their beaks. The squirrels hang out below, waiting for the food to drop. And sometimes their patience wanes, and they attempt a treacherous climb up the feeder rod. I caught one dangling from the edge of the feeder, clinging precariously with their hands to the edge of the feeder, swinging back and forth and knocking the food everywhere, only to flip off when they couldn’t actually reach the feeder with their mouth. Despite all the crazy activity with the food flinging everywhere, when the food is gone, there is literally nothing left. No waste at all. So, everything is eaten.

I have been looking for a bird seed that didn't end up all over my deck, then tracked into the house. This one leaves very little mess and waste. Also, it's a good price for the weight. And, the birds love it. :)
