I am a rather petite woman in my late 50s and I was easily able to assemble this fire pit in my kitchen and then move it out to my deck. The instructions were well-illustrated and very clear.
This was the best purchase I've made all year. My friends and I love using it. We have get-togethers just to have an excuse to use it. :)
Everything about the design is well-considered, and it's really attractive. It's sturdy, but lightweight enough that I can slide it anywhere I might want to place it... and that I can put it in winter storage by myself. It's easy to clean out the ashes. There's good air flow from the bottom, but minimal drop-out, and the included grate keeps logs burning better.
Using it on a deck, it was important to me that it had a screen cover; it was a bonus to have the lifting tool included. I like that we'll be able to continue to gather on the deck through the fall season because of the warmth.
