The Pool Test Strips have become an indispensable tool in maintaining the perfect balance of my pool water. These strips are incredibly easy to use, providing quick and accurate results for essential parameters like chlorine, pH, alkalinity, and more. The color-coded system makes it simple to interpret the readings, even for someone like me who is not a pool chemistry expert. The strips are sturdy and do not tear easily, ensuring a mess-free testing experience. What I appreciate most is the convenience these test strips offer in maintaining water quality without the need for complicated testing kits. Regular use of these strips has helped me keep my pool water crystal clear and properly balanced, preventing issues like algae growth and skin irritation. They are a cost-effective and efficient solution for any pool owner looking to maintain a healthy and enjoyable swimming environment. Overall, Pool Test Strips have become an essential part of my pool maintenance routine, making water testing a hassle-free and effective process.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great for most of the 7, seems off on Cyanuric acid levels - Update Vendor replaced
Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2023
Arrived, seems some of the strips are missing the top pad, hardness, not sure how many, so seems like a mix of 6 and 1 and 7 and 1. For the 7 and 1 strips, they work well but seem to not report Cyanuric correctly. Ordered alternate test kits to confirm, also wondering about alkalinity, says low even after adding 10 lbs on the pool, more on that one with the other test kits.
Update - Vendor reached out to me and was concerned, I explained the issue and they sent a new batch over and these are working as expected. all have the top pad for hardness and the stabilizer pad is working as expected.
Thanks for the response!

I like that this product introduced me to chemical analysis for my pool.
I like that this product is better than the clorox strips (I use their chemicals) to actually read each chem properly with gradations
I like that I can swim in my pool using their calculations rather than rely on the clorox strips of which the colors are too dark, not enough variation to make sense and have you sweating and dumping in chemicals every day.
I will use my clorox pool products, but rely on these strips and get the JNW app.

5.0 out of 5 stars Salt Water - Simple, effective(ish), and easy
Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2023
I have a small 18' above-ground salt water pool, and although it came with test strips, they were USELESS. So I was told test strips for salt pools are not accurate, but after reading the reviews, I figured I would give it a try. I had other devices to test my water but I wanted something quick and easy to use to give me a "feel" of where my water readings were. These actually did rather well although there were a few readings off that could have been better but it did help me maintain the levels across the pool a bit easier. Simple dip for a couple seconds and wait a bit for the strips to turn. Match it up with the bottle and run from there. It beats chemicals and lots of tools but same time it doesn't exactly replace those items either for accuracy.

Would I buy them again? Yes!

3.0 out of 5 stars Questionable Quality?
Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2022
I've purchased these strips twice. The first time (July 2021) I had no problems whatsoever - the product appeared to work as described, and I was very pleased at the price point. When I ran out, I had switched back to a simple testing kit with drops, but it just didn't have all the other readings that made these strips great in the first place (additional information about CYA, for example, made it easier to assess the water's condition more holistically).

Anyway, I purchased these strips again in December 2021 ahead of refilling my hot tub because I wanted a more comprehensive test. This time, I noticed that "total chlorine," "free chlorine" and "bromine" pads usually only change color on the sides - the entire top part of the pads (which is already fairly small) did not react to water at all, which complicates reading since it leaves only a tiny sliver of color on the edges. At first I thought there were just a few bad strips mixed in. I got halfway through the pack and it was still happening - only a small handful have worked properly. Worse than this, though, I started getting concerned about how much bromine/dichlor I was having to add to my water to balance it out properly. So finally I sampled the water using another kit - and then another. Relative to other tests, the JNW strips were underestimating bromine and chlorine levels. At one point when I had no issues and the water seemed fine, the other testing kits were showing perfectly balanced ph and total chlorine, but the strips were indicating near-zero total chlorine. That makes me wonder how long I'd been bathing in over-sanitized water when I was using the strips alone to measure it.

For what it's worth, the ph readings align rather well with other tests, so at least part of it seems to be working. I might continue to use these strips in concert with other testing methods (particularly because I have no other means of measuring hardness or alkalinity without taking the water in for professional testing), but I'm not sure I trust the accuracy or quality any longer. Maybe I just got a bad batch?

I like that it eliminates having to handle several chemicals. One strip provides all measurements in just a few minutes.
