I used to use this and it always worked well. We had an Intex pool (not permanent) so I didn't think much about it because it was fresh water at the start of
every season. We moved last year and inherited an inground pool. A lot of work needed to be done to the pool and all last summer I couldn't get it balanced and had algae issues. Spent a lot of money and time. This year the water is finally balanced. I was using expensive shock and it would not dissolve well. I felt like I was wasting money. Then I remembered how this used to dissolve well and I never had algae issues. So, I gave it another try a month ago. I haven't had any issues at all since. No algae. No powder sitting at the bottom of the pool. No more time or money being wasted. Only need to shock once a week.
