We live in Miami and every spring and summer we have a constant battle with algae. This spring has been particularly bad, so we decided to try the Pool Rx+ on our 30K gallon in-ground pool. The water was completely clear within 12 hours and the algae was completely gone within 24 hours. We will use this product always from now on. Amazing results.

Give it about a week and it'll be night and day. It's worth every penny. Any stains from algae will be pretty much gone. Just make sure to clean filter and let pump run all night the first night. Pool will be crystal clear and not smell like chemicals. Works well with salt systems as well.

This is full of minerals and keeps your pool free of algae and water silky soft. It does cut down on chemical use (chlorine, baking soda, algaesides, etc). This is worth the price. I've paid from $65-$99 for this over the years. Battery operated robot vacuum and pool rx makes pool care easy.

Works well, but heads up for cartridge filters

Right after adding this guy, the algae blooming disappeared and the chlorine levels stablized. The water is crystal clear too!

Heads up for those with cartridge filters! Do NOT use the filter for at least a day when you add this. If you have the filter in when you initially deploy this, the filter will suck it all up and get saturated to the point of replacement. Remove the filter entirely and run the pump without it until the PoolRX is completely dissolved into the water. For me this took a day and a half of no filter (14hrs w/variable speed pump) at all and a couple of daily filter cleans after that to get back to a normal flow rate.

After that this thing has been lights out! It's rainy season here in FL and I am watching to see how it handles that as well. So far so good!

Unbelievable product

I usually don’t review products but this is such a terrific product that I felt everyone with a pool needs to look at this product. I have consistently had varying problems with my pool until I bought this. I am amazed at what this did in just two days. Even my pool man is so convinced in its effectiveness that he’s trying to get his other clients to buy one of these. My pool has zero problems. I mean none whatsoever. I’ve had it for about three months. The water looks so clean and clear that it resembles water in the Virgin Islands. You could drop a dime in the eight foot end and tell if it’s heads or tails. Saves on chemicals too. Do yourself a favor. Yes it’s not cheap but you will be ecstatic with the results.

The person who cleans my pool filter recommended this product; I was a bit hesitant as I was not sure if it would work and it was not cheap, but I have been pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness. Weather is now in the 80s here in California and my pool has not needed as much in chemicals, but more importantly no algae whatsoever, which had been my main problem as the summer season kicks in.
