Who knew I'd ever have a favorite tool?

For context, this review is being written by a fat 70-year-old woman with a bad hip.

This little chain saw is fabulous. It came today, the batteries were already charged, so I got right to work sawing down the "weed trees" clogging up my back yard. I'd been using loppers to shorten them as much as I could, but I was constantly cutting off new growth, which was a giant pain, and the remaining trunks were still in the way. Less than 10 minutes with this baby and the trunks were gone and everything was at the curb. I've got some more trees to remove or just trim in the front yard, and I can't wait.

This was a great deal for the price. It came with 2 batteries, 2 extra chains - even gloves and eye protectors, all packed into a sturdy case. Not to mention it's a lovely shade of blue. If you're looking for a mini-chainsaw that's easy to handle and gets the job done well, I highly recommend this Saker mini.

I recently purchased the Saker Mini 6 “ chainsaw through Amazon! I was skeptical with all the excellent reviews but for the price I gave it a shot! And just wow! This thing is powerful, smooth cutting and very easy to handle. I was able to slice through 5 inch limbs like butter! The kit is well stocked with extra batteries and chains as well, and I chose the hard case for storage! If you are in the market for this type of tool, you can’t go wrong with Saker!

My favorite tool for pruning and trimming!

I live in the country and the perimeter of my yard is about 1700'. Every year I would suffer with blisters and eventually end up with trigger thumb or trigger finger from the constant pressure from traditional pruners. After three trips to a hand specialist (once each year) I decided there had to be a better way to get this unpleasant and painful job done.

That's when I saw an add for this tiny handheld chainsaw on FB. I did my usual research on which brand would be the best for the money and decided on this one. I have to say it's the best gardening tool I've ever bought and believe me, I've bought a few!

I was able to trim back an overgrowth of a mixture of wisteria, blackberry canes, wild grape vines and honeysuckle vines in no time. I cleared a swath approximately 30' long, 3' deep and 4' high in about 45 minutes. It would have taken hours and many blisters to do the same amount with regular pruning shears. So, trimming is now fun......the hauling off the trimmings, well not so much but it's gotta be done!

This little gem comes with two extra blades, safety goggles, a pair of so so gloves, a tiny bottle of oil for the chain, a couple of tools, two 20v batteries, and of course, the owner's manual. Not to mention a very nice sturdy tool box to store this treasure in.

There are only two downsides to owning this wonderful tool. One is that it can be a bit tricky changing out the blades for a fresh one. It took me a while but I finally managed to get it on properly. The other downside is that using this little gem is so much fun, you trim away and don't want to quit and then you see what a huge pile of branches and such that have to be hauled away. Oh well.

Anyway, if you want to make trimming easier, this is the tool for you. I'm 72 years old, had a stroke last year, and can work for several hours with this as it's lightweight and again, fun to use. Go ahead, purchase one. It's a keeper!
