    The media could not be loaded.
    This is a plastic bird feeder with an integrated VicoHome solar powered security camera. In addition to the regular security camera type features (siren, white light, 2-way intercom) the software has the ability to do AI Bird identification (If you sign up for the service plan). But even without a service plan it will make 20 second recordings and save them for up to 3 days, so you don't need to pay for a plan to make use of it.

    The birdhouse was easy to assemble, and comes with a bracket that can be screwed to a house or tree, and a nylon strap you can use to strap it to a smaller tree trunk. However, squirrels were eating all of my birdseed, so I had to put it on top of a 1" diameter steel pole and install an anti-squirrel baffle to keep it for birds only. (But if you want videos of squirrels eating birdseed, it works great for that as well...)

    Once I had it up on the squirrel proof pole, I got several eastern bluebirds visiting and it captured good video of them. It still acts like a security camera, so you get alerts if somebody walks by or a vehicle drives by. The PIR motion sensor is sensitive enough that a car diving by on a road far away will trigger a false positive (even if the road is hidden by a little vegetation) so I had to face it away from the road to minimize the number of false positives.

    I screwed the provided solar panel to the back of the mounting bracket and it's keep the battery charged up at 100% all the time, so there is plenty of power from the sun and I don't anticipate ever having to charge it. (But I do have to go up on a ladder to refill the birdseed occasionally.)

    Unless you already have a mounting system, be prepared to buy a pole and anti-squirrel baffle to use this effectively (unless you are looking to feed squirrels). Because the roof tilts off to refill it, there is no good way to hang it from a cable.

    It has drain slots in the front (bid feeder/perch) area, but not in the back. After tropical storm force winds bent my pole a little, it was leaning backwards and water pooled in the back with the birdseed, growing mold. I bent the pole back upright, and also drilled a few drain holes in the back just in case it got into the wrong orientation so it wouldn't drain properly.

    This little bird feeder is absolutely adorable. The birds have been enjoying having a place to perch while enjoying a little snack. The camera it comes with is awesome. Anytime you want you can just sign into the app and watch the birds up close. This works really well for us because we have a number of bird feeders around our property, some that are farther away from the windows. So, the camera allows us to still see the birds up close without being physically close to them. So far the solar charger is working out really well for those places also. The camera gets charged by the panel, which eliminates the need for us to go outside, bring the camera in and charge it. I received this item for free through the Amazon Vine program, which offers the product in exchange for an honest review. However, the price point of this feeder is really reasonable, and in my opinion well worth it.

    Insert in plastic strips out so the screw to hold the feeder to a pole pulls out of the plastic with finger tightening.
