This swing is incredibly comfortable, strong, durable, and super easy to assemble. It took less than ten minutes to assemble. This swing is easily my favorite thing i've ever purchased from amazon. I did add a seat cushion, to better define the seat. I was looking at spending ten times this amount on an egg swing, and i'm so glad I didn't! This one is the best!

I love this chair! It is comfortable and was easy to set up once the weight bearing hooks for ceiling (purchased separately at Home Depot) were installed. It swings nicely. Feels secure. The pillows included are fine for comfort. I added some with color for aesthetics.

I'm really impressed with the quality of the hammock and how comfortable it is. This hammock has become a destination for family and friends. Just make sure you use hardware that is sturdy enough and is screwed into the beam in the ceiling properly. I used a stud finder to locate the start and end of the width, then used a drill to make a hole just a little narrower than the screw. I then used a socket wrench to get it tight and viola... nice, clean and all neat. The hardware to bolt into the ceiling does not come with this hammock, I bought it separately. Great hammock, good quality, good fabric and sturdy parts that hold it all together.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, and UPDATE: here's how to hang it up to spin...

The media could not be loaded.
This swing feels like it will last a while IF you keep it out of the elements. It is sturdy and feels well-built. The material, while rough in texture for sturdiness and abrasion-proofing, nonetheless is made of cotton and will rapidly deteriorate in the sun and especially after repeated soakings by rain, in my opinion and based on observation of other items of similar construct we've had exposed to the elements in the hot Arizona sun. Same holds true for the wooden stick that it hangs from.

It is very comfortable to sit in to read a book, and even lightly swing back-and-forth while sipping a nice drink. It most certainly aids in clearing the mind, living in the moment, and forgetting about life's worries! While you can sink into it to recline a great deal depending on how you adjust the pillows (may have to remove one or both pillows for that), you can also sit in it sturdily enough to read, write, and otherwise do things that require a steady hand.

The single hanging metal loop hook that comes with the hammock fits very well into the knit hanging loop, but I definitely do not feel safe enough to rely solely on the hook to hang it with. The hook is in the form of a big, slightly flattened, S-shape, so if you were to swing in the hammock a bit too aggressively, I can easily envision the hammock falling out of the hook resulting in a fall and serious injury. Because of this, I used two aluminum carabiner clips rated for a very high weight -- in addition to the S-hook -- to mount the hammock. I feel much safer this way.

The most complicated part of setting the hammock up will be figuring out how to hang it. I hung it from a heavy, solid-steel, beam using two chains individually tied to each carabiner, PLUS I have a third, last-resort, chain that is attached to the S-hook that comes with the hammock. Yes, I know, exaggeratedly excessive, but having worked in the accident investigation and prevention field in my military days I have no problem going overboard when it comes to Safety. This way any two of these can fail and I will still have a solid backup just in case.

UPDATE on how to hang it: My wife told me she wanted to be able to spin around to better enjoy the hammock, so I bought the PACEARTH Swing Swivel 35KN on Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0876SD41P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This greatly simplified installation and allowed me to reduce some of the hardware/chains I had to a more manageable size. You can see from the video, as well as from the last two photos, how it turned out using the spinner. It spins very well, feels very solid and safe.

There are a number of other swing spinner swivels, so you can shop around for them. I'm happy with the one I got and will be making a separate review on it on the page for the spinner I bought.

I recommend this, but give it only four stars instead of five because I have little doubt that I'll have to buy another one of these in a year or two due to wear-and-tear, and exposure to the elements. Oh, and one thing I also do is take it down if it's going to rain by removing the hammock/stick assembly. This leaves the main loop connected to the hanging assembly, and then I wrap these items inside a kitchen trash bag that I then wrap with a couple of small bungee cords. This keeps the hanging hardware dry, and should hopefully let it last longer.

i’ve had this swing for nearly a year and it’s held up to a lot of use. it’s perfect for small spaces and you can vacuum underneath with ease. i wouldn’t recommend rocking too much/using it like a swing because the chain creaks. i love the pockets it comes with, perfect for storage.

3.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT USE INICLUDED HARDWARE
Reviewed in the United States on October 3, 2024
TLDR: Good chair. Hardware is junk. Get stronger hardware.

The product itself, as far as the chair is quite comfy. My wife purchased it and we had it hung in our bedroom for a reading nook before recently moving and now it is out on the front porch.

However. The included hardware is not rated for the correct weight. The included S-hook and carabiner are only intended to hold 100lbs or NONMOVING weight. I tested them before installation and I was only able to put 150 lbs on them before the S-hook started to bend, and about 180 lbs on the carabiner when it completely failed and dropped the weight, and again that was stationary nonmoving weight.

I have since replaced them with a 3/8" quick link rated at 2000lbs for $3 at TSC and a 1/2" screw eye rated at 2500lbs for $8 at TSC. Keep in mind those are stationary weights. As you get into the chair, swing the chair, or get out of the chair your apparent weight goes up and down so you want the hardware to be rated well above your actual weight. Now admittedly I went a bit overkill, but I don't want my wife to get hurt so I went with the heaviest duty stuff that would realistically work.
