    My chickens will follow me anywhere for these!

    Quality/freshness: The bugs are high quality, as fresh as a freeze dried bug can be.

    Appearance They appear to be all intact, not crushed, the bag isn’t mostly bug dust like some others. They don’t stink like some freeze dried bugs I’ve tried in the past. They look good!

    Amazon is prompting me to comment on taste, and thickness - I’m not willing to try one just for this review, but I’ll take my chickens word for it - they go nuts over them so they must taste great if you’re a bird! Even my bearded dragon likes them. They’re thicker than a mealworm.

    You get 10 lbs for a great price.

    Bought these for my chickens. Ordered the 5 pound box. Thankfully my chickens love them! I didn’t notice any bad smell when I opened the plastic bag. The larvae appeared whole I was a bit disappointed that the plastic bag isn’t resealable but I will make do with a plastic container to help keep them fresh. I think they are worth the money that I paid for them and would buy again

    My hens go crazy over these worms. I've ordered them before. The only problem I've had was this time, ants detected what was inside the box before the box was opened. I had placed the box by my kitchen door to take them out to the coop. So when we opened the box, a couple of days later, there were hundreds of ants crawling in the box and also inside the plastic bag the worms were in. There were also dozens more in the kitchen where the box had been sitting. We salvaged what we could, the hens won't eat ants, $25 gone that quick. I will buy them again in the future and put them in an airtight container. Hopefully the company will start using thicker packaging so no smell escapes to attract ants.
