    First it really weighs 9 lbs. it snowed yesterday about 3 inches of heavy wet snow I tested it out on my sidewalk and the end of my driveway and it did a good job of throwing the snow where I directed to. It was probably 30 minutes off and on and no problems with the battery I wished I had checked the battery level when I finished but I have many battery tools and I wasn’t expecting any problems. Today I used it on an upstairs landing I have about 10 x 20 feet that I specifically bought it for and I wasn’t expecting any done in about 5 minutes running constantly and the battery level remained 4 bars. Keep in mind it’s still an effort it’s like pushing a 1 stage snowblower so you’ll still get some exercise but it’s a backsaver.

    My review is based upon receiving and assembling this cordless snow 'shovel.' As I write this it is early December and we haven't had measurable snow so I cannot opine specifically on how well this works. I will share my impressions and update (I always do!) this review once i have more info.

    This comes with a big battery and a purpose built charger--always a good sign as opposed to a battery with a plug in port. Assembly of the unit is simple and takes just a minute. It worked right out of the box without issues.

    The construction is suitably light but sturdy. You don't need a heavy, hard-to-maneuver device when the whole point of this device is to make shoveling easier. Having said that, this is not your father's Sears snow blower that can handle whatever you throw at it.

    I suspect that the seller's claim that this can throw snow 25 feet is exaggerated but if it snows, I will find out. Shovelling with a shovel can be tough--especially if snow is heavy, wet or on top of an uneven surface (like old snow and ice that you never bothered with.) This isn't going to rectify your past laziness or clean up frozen snow or big drifts.The idea here is that the machine eliminates lifting up a manual shovel and tossing snow to the side--this machine blows the snow you shovel into it off to the side.

    My impression is that this will work on powder or crisp snow much better than anything heavy or wet. Even my giant 16 HP 36" snow blower doesn't like slush and wet snow. This small battery powered unit probably will be useless on something like that.

    If you have a walk, a patio or small driveway that needs clearing AND you do not let the snow accumulate more than a few inches at a time before using this AND the snow is dry and powdery AND the surface that the snow is on is fairly even--well, then this might be a thing.

    Not only it works great, but it is light weight, has good power and can also deal with icey driveways. Great tool. Much better investment than taking a risk to slip on the ice driveway.

    This snow shovel worked well for the couple of inches of loose, powdery snow that we got. It isn't very loud or heavy, so it is easy to use. The majority of parts are plastic, so I do wonder about durability in the long run, but as long as I don't try to clean chunks of ice off of the sidewalk, it should last a while. Just know that this does not come with a battery, and to get a decent battery and charger double the price.

    I have not had any measurable snow this season, so my review is based on aspects of the product other than performance.
    The biggest issue with this product is that the battery is not included. If you don't already have one of the specified batteries, buying a new battery, and the required charger, can set you back more than the price of the shovel.
    The assembly of the shovel is simple, and nice diagrams are included. The edge of the shovel that touches the ground will get the most wear. An extra edge is included for when the one that comes on the shovel wears out.
    The trigger on the handle must be depressed for the shovel to operate. You must also engage the safety button to start the shovel.
    I will update my review when it snows and I have an opportunity to use the shovel. I am anxious to see if dry, powdery snow is removed faster than wet, heavy snow.

    I can't rate this item fully because: 1) it didn't come with a battery and 2) it did not snow yet in my area. What I CAN say is that I love the fact that it's lightweight and very easy to push. I appreciate what others are saying about it and I can't wait to test it out!!!

    This cordless snow thrower works quite well. My Dewalt 20V battery fit perfectly, and slid into place easily and snapped in securely. It was easy to assemble, with the shaft requiring the two bolts to be put in place to attach the three segments, and then screwing on the D-shaped handle, all made easy with the large plastic knobs whichtightened easily, without any need for tools for this assembly.. When using this to throw some heavier, slushy, icy snow, it did frequently shut itself off, presumably due to the higher stress load, but immediately functioned again by just repressing the trigger. It does include one additional scraper bar, as these are plastic and might get worn over time, so it is convenient that they included this. There’s a small knob just above the snow shoot, which can be turned to the left or right or straight, to help direct the snow being thrown out of this machine. This powered shovel will not keep up with a full size gas powered snowblower, but this will be handy for smaller areas, and I likely will most often use this to clear the area around my barbecue grill, as I otherwise need to shovel out that area, and it is not convenient to get the large snowblower to where the grill sits.
