    I bought the unit last. January used it once or twice and then put it away until two weeks ago. I pulled it out again for my new greenhouse which finally was full of plants and it worked like a champ. The thermostat was accurate and it kept things good. I went out to check it last week and it wasn’t working. I looked and somehow it overheated and started to melt a little where the heater cord plugged into the thermostat. Thankfully, the safety feature worked perfectly and shut down.

    I was very concerned, whether they would honor the warranty or even communicate to replace the product.

    The company has been fantastic. A little trouble getting through on the phone (I think it was a time zone issue) but when I did, they filed a warranty claim for me and followed up through email. Very responsive and they are shipping me an entire new unit. Have no fear if something happens with your unit, their customer service is some of the best I’ve come across. I will probably be buying a second unit for my other greenhouse when I start putting plants in it. My greenhouse is 4 x 8 x 7 if anyone is curious. Keeps it exactly the temperature I want.

    This little heater was perfect for maintaining a below-freezing environment for my mandarin orange tree in my 4'x6' plexiglass greenhouse. It was able to keep the temperature within a couple degrees of the set temperature, and I consider that excellent for this non-insulted structure. I experimented setting the temperature at various settings to find the most efficient, achievable temperature without having it to continue running in order to "try" and do so. I love it. Also, it's very solid and heavy-enough to give me confidence in its stability and (hopefully) durability. JUST ADDED THIS COMMENT: As a side note, I might add that I have only needed to use the lower (750 watt) power setting. Coincidentally, I just read a few of the other reviews, in which it was mentioned that there was a concern regarding the thermostat usage being rated only up to 1000 watts. Hmmm.....? I decided to continue using the heater at the 750 watt power setting with the thermostat, and IF I ever feel the need to up the power to the 1500 watt setting, I think I will unplug the thermostat during that period of time. Just a word of caution. Thanks for the opportunity to review this good product.

    Recieved this 4 Dec 24 and stopped working today. Just quit with no power surg or two over. Just stopped working. Worked great for12 days.

    I was in need of a small heater for a small space and this heater was a huge help. I needed it to keep the temp at 75 degrees and I watched it for about 30 minutes and you could hear the thermometer control turn on and off regulating the heat to stay at 75 degrees. The build is solid with a tactile switch! The fan was very quiet and when the temp would drop it was fast to increase the temp. Lastly to have it automatically control the temp it was a great value!     The heater comes with a seperate temperature controller/thermostat. The small 15KW heater is adequate for a 6ft by 10 ft greenhouse. The seperate electronic thermostat has a high tempeature alarm but will not shut down heater when at high temp. It also has a very narrow band of 1 or 2 degrees. It thus tend to cycle the heater on/off at a high frequent rate. The heater itself does its job well and appears like a quality product. The separate electronic contrller is really not usable. its frequent on/off cycle will wear out the heater.

    Great Heater for a grow tent, greenhouse or camping, if you have electricity. The digital thermostat works great for setting temps. The temp may be a couple degrees lower than what is set. Btw if you have the Vivosun heater you can buy the digital thermostat seperate.

    This is a very consistent heat source that there are a few drawbacks. I have an 8 ft x 10 ft by 4 ft greenhouse that houses dwarf citrus trees. I live in zone 7 which means that in the next week or so by December 1st we're going to get snow and we'll have the snow all the way through March. Getting the greenhouse a dedicated heater was necessary to make sure that all of the fruit trees had consistent heat.
    However, this particular heater does not plug into an extension cord, not even heavy duty orange extension cords. After one day of use the extension cord practically melted on the pavement and was hot all the way to the wall.
    It also will not plug in into any digital thermometer reader. So the setup that I had where the orange extension cord came from the wall into the digital thermometer reader and the heater plugged into the digital thermometer reader everything became super super hot.
    So the digital reader now has to be independent which affects the ability for it to regulate the heat since the digital thermometer readers will turn the heater on and off as necessary to keep the temperature accurate.

    Additionly because this unit has to plug directly into a wall socket the length of cord is far too short and there's no way to extend it without risk of fire.

    It's able to stay on throughout the entire night or 24 hours a day to keep the temperature up but in many ways this is no different than the indoor space heater that it replaced. So my recommendations to the manufacturers are to make the cord longer and to find a way that it can be compatible with a digital thermometer reader or state in the information that it is not compatible with any other item plugged up to it.

    This is my reason for rating at a 2 because while it does work and can stay on 24 hours a day, even at a set temperature which only says hotter or colder, and indoor space heater can be set to say 75 or 80 and there's no risk of burning the house down if it's plugged into an extension cord. So it's two points for arriving on time and working but all in all I'm not overly happy and considering putting the indoor space heater back into the greenhouse since I can set that for an actual temperature and it will turn itself off and on when it's in that temperature, and it won't burn the house down.
