5.0 out of 5 stars Great Shovel

It is a GREAT shovel and clears the snow very well! The foam padding on the handle is comfortable on your hands. Assembly of the handle was very easy. Just screw the pieces together and they stayed attached perfectly. Because the handle comes apart, it will fit easily in a car trunk for winter driving in snowy areas or for storing off-season.

I was impressed with how the company carefully coated the shovel with plastic to make sure it got delivered safely. I can tell by the weight that it's a high quality shovel. Since I am 5'9", I appreciate the longer handle, although it does looks a bit weird having such a long handle. It seems too narrow compared to my past shovels. I will have to make more trips up and down my sidewalk to clear the snow. It was also very LOUD when shoveling. I guess I'm not used to an aluminum shovel. It cleaned up the snow nicely. I had trouble with the multi-part handle starting to unscrew when shoveling. The literature that came with it has a very big typo on top. I'm keeping this shovel by my front door so I can quickly clear off the steps for guests.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long handle (but configurable, can be shorter); very well made; weak attachment of the blade
Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2024
First off, the craftsmanship and attention to detail is really outstanding, more fit for a high price machinery than a shovel. I looked real hard for any imperfection, any burr or chipped margin, any dent, and there was none. The threads between the handle segments and the one at the shovel blade are made very precisely, this is the one and only such segmented handle that not only has no play between parts but also it is very hard to untie from the couplings, as sturdy as a one-piece handle. The coating on the handle segments is adherent and uniform, and the insulated sleeves accommodate using two hands on this shovel without touching the metal handle. The blade is perfectly formed, and the surface came protected by plastic foil, it is mirror-like without a single scratch or any imperfection. The blade has a steel band at the edge, and that edge is sharp and not to be touched by hand. Overall, this thing is made like the metalwork on cars or planes, doesn’t belong in the snow shovel league.
One other very positive thing about this is the length of the handle, and I am more interested in the full length. For my height, this is like night and day compared to the usual shovels, saves me a ton of leaning forward to use the shovel. Very much appreciated. For other people, the handle can be assembled with only three segments, in case a shorter handle fits you better.
On the downside, the link of the handle to the blade has some play. This is designed with two aluminum rivets in a plastic tube, looks like the Achilles’ knee for the whole shovel. I wanted this metal shovel specifically to break frosted snow boulders at the end of the driveway left by the snowplow overnight, and thus I will hit down with the blade and put some force on this shovel. If there’s already play in the rivets, that’s not encouraging. I am thinking about reinforcing this attachment point with epoxy, before the aluminum surface oxidizes. But this should have been taken care of by the manufacturer. I cannot tell how long the rivets would last on their own, so it’s not fair to deduct from my rating: still an outstanding metal shovel for the toughest snow and ice problems.

This shovel is much stronger than I expected. It it rigid and feels really solid. I am actually shocked to be honest. The handle comes apart into sections and when it's all put together it stands nearly 6'. You can easily remove one section of the handle it that's to long for you. I also like that it can fit right in my truck no problem. I want to reiterate that this is the strongest/ best put together shovel I have ever owned . I was getting the tru temper home Depot shovels but this is much better.

Great snow shovel to have around the house just in case a storm hits. It’s easy to use and cuts through snow smoothly. I would recommend to anyone who lives in a rural area that gets snow often.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid product - nice sharp edge
Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2024
I'm giving this shovel a 5-star rating because of how it feels when it's put together. The handle tubes are extremely easy to assemble and they feel HEAVY duty for sure. I was worried about a shovel that screws together - but honestly, this thing feels 100% solid.

I will say that it is rather long - much longer than your typical plastic shovel that you'll find in the store. It's also substantially heavier than those shovels as well. It has a strong and sharp edge that I'm sure will provide a clean scrape and be perfect for those slush-type snow falls. We'll see how stamina goes when using it given that it is already heavier by itself compared to other shovels. Once loaded with snow it may become harder to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adjustable length and ergonomic

This seems to be a sturdy and well-made snow shovel. The length of the handle is adjustable to make it easier to use depending on your height and it is simple and intuitive to put together.

The aluminum blade seems very durable and there is a tall ridge at the back of the blade allowing me to push the snow away easily. My back appreciates this. Happy with the purchase!

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice size

This is a decent aluminum shovel. While not quite as wide as others I’ve seen I actually think as I get older this is plenty wide enough. It has a nice heavy sharp edge that is sharper than I expected. While I like that for getting under packed snow on my concrete sidewalk I can’t use it on my deck. If you have a composite deck like Trex do not use a shovel like this on it because it will destroy the finish. I have a different shovel that I use only on the deck and it has a plastic edge. The one thing I really like about this shovel is the length of the handle. Usually most aluminum shovels like this have short handles and are so wide the combination of snow weight and shovel handle length is really hard on my back but this one is much better. The reason I took away one star is I prefer a one piece handle. While this is adjustable I’ve found that handles with multiple pieces screwed together tend to eventually work loose which can be rather annoying.
