    The shovel end is smaller than what I thought. It does work however and can be taken apart. There is a metal edge for cutting through ice. The blade part is about 10" wide by 12" high. The entire length is 42" long. You could shorten it by 12" leaving out the extension piece. I shoot it with silicone spray and nothing sticks to it. I wouldn't conside it a "pusher" shovel.

    Despite living in the frozen north, I've never had a shovel for my car with luckily only a couple occasions where one was needed (once for me, once for a friend so I grabbed one before leaving). I always knew it'd be a good idea to have, but space is hard to come by for a full shovel. This one is perfect, breaking down into 4 pieces (only 3 being necessary): the handle, the blade, and 2 extenders (1 optional for extra length).

    The blade is not super wide, and not going to be of much use outside the vehicle (maybe if your kid wants to help) but it's not designed to be. Separately they don't take up much space, with the only issue being a way to store them together (if used the box will end up wet and destroyed) but that's of minor concern. Being that I got this through the vine program in the middle of summer, I won't get to test this anytime soon (and realistically the goal is to never ever need it so who knows), but it already helps put my mind a bit at ease.

    It definitely feels sturdy, so the only point of failure that could possible come up is the shovel end being plastic. There also isn't a "blade" so to speak, but some metal bent in a rounded-edge triangular shape, so it may struggle to break through hard packed snow (which generally isn't going to be where you get stuck so less potential problem).

    The pieces all attach much like collapsible poles that you might find on a tent or similar, with the two spring loaded knobs you press in and then they line up with holes to hold them in place. Same setup goes into the blade with just one knob to hold it. I thought this was going to be a gripe as getting those pressed in enough to clear the material to break them apart is usually a small hassle, until I realized they addressed this. In the piece that attaches to the blade are 2 pips that looks like you could use either to adjust the length, but the blade is only deep enough to get to the bottom pip. It turns out the 2nd pip is used to draw in the pip in the blade so you can break it apart easily. Such an awesome design and shows they pup thought into it to make it easy for people. I'm glad to have this, even if I may never use it.

    This shovel kit so far has been great. It is an essential tool for us, it’s great for all occasions. This collapsible sport utility shovel, with its four sections, is incredibly easy to assemble and use, making it a reliable option for quick snow, sand, and mud removal. We also enjoy its heavy-duty construction ensures it can handle tough conditions without bending or breaking, showcasing its great quality and durability. The shovel is also highly portable, fitting conveniently in our trunk without taking up much space, which is perfect for any outdoor activities. Another great thing is the ergonomic design which makes it comfortable to handle, even during prolonged use. This shovel has proven to be a great tool for keeping my driveway clear.     This snow shovel was valued at $9.99 when I got it. The handle is metal and the shovel part is plastic with an aluminum blade for better scraping and durability. The handle has foam for a better grip. While I didn't get to utilize it this season, I'm happy to have this sit in my trunk and be ready to go when I need it. I love that it breaks up into smaller parts which makes it very compact. In my experience, small shovels like this will eventually snap in either the handle or the shovel cylinder part. This mainly happens because plastic in the cold is more brittle and with usage, the stress will cause a break. For this price, I don't think you can go wrong even if it only ends up lasting several seasons.
