    It burns the grass it doesn't melt good just stays in rocks also just melts little holes thru the ice so you have to spread every bit of it.

    This is a heavy 50lb bag! I keep this in the trunk of my car to use in case of emergency. I have used this twice on the pavement in my parking lot and it works pretty well. Melts just enough to get moving. I do not have a private drive so I cannot speak to any damage this may cause to pavement - but generally I would expect melting salts to have some negative impact (it’s a give and take).
