    We’ve used this a few times when we get snow in VA. We have a long curvy sloped blacktop driveway that is no fun to shovel or slide down in a car. When I use this before the snow starts, our driveway always has significantly less snow- and is clear of snow on its own- long before any of our neighbors’. I have a big (2 or 3 liter?) plastic container with a handle that I pour this in and shake out this product on our driveway that way. I have used a big scoop in the past, but I always get some salt on my hands or gloves that way, and I don’t love that. The products that come in a shakeable bottle are more convenient to use, but the cost of this one makes it worth getting and just refilling my old bottle. I usually use 3/4 of the bag to cover our long driveway well (our driveway is probably 10-12 car lengths Long and 2 car lengths wide.)

    I decided to try this product for the 2020 snow season bought a 50lb. Bag. I am disabled and can’t shovel. My steps needed to be extremely safe, due to I have to be carried in and out in my home in a wheelchair.
    I have bought several different products in the past and I can say for certain that this product did the job far better and for far less money
    than any other product has. This was used daily on My steps, Front walkway and sidewalks. I normally have to hire the kids in my neighborhood to do the shoveling for me however, after buying this product I did Not have to have the kids do any shoveling whatsoever.
    This stuff worked wonderfully only needed to sprinkle a little bit down daily and it kept the snow and ice melted all winter long.
    What made this product even more of a hit after sprinkling a bit each day you can see and feel that there was still some on the ground when it was time to re sprinkle.
    It SAVED me time and money I did not need to buy any more that 50lb. Bag lasted me All last winter, I still have approximately 15lbs. of it.
    Normally with the Other brands I went through anywhere from 2-4 bags per 1 winter season!
    So in closing YES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

    The Snow Joe AZ-25-CC was a good find for pure calcium chloride ice melt in a conveniently sized package at a good price. I wanted calcium chloride (gentle on concrete). This was the best price, delivered, that I (Amazon Prime customer) could find. One problem is with the "resealable" package: if you cut along the dotted line printed on the bag, you will cut off the plastic zipper. You will have to figure out for yourself where to correctly cut the bag open if you want to use the plastic zipper. Also, I found the plastic zipper difficult to close reliably in below freezing temperatures. I transferred my ice melt to a 5-gallon plastic bucket with a tight-fitting lid.

    Works great for my new concrete that won't destroy my investment. I was told that I had to have certain kind of snowmelt or it would void my warranty, so I found this and it works.

    Cheaper than damp rid! You can dry this stuff out when it dissolves and re-use it. Same stuff as damp rid. Heat in your oven instead of throwing it away, and re-use it. Just Google how to dry out calcium chloride. If course damp rid won't tell you this!

    The title of the product says it is "Premium Calcium Chloride Crystal Ice Melter". Every bullet point says "MELT calcium chloride crystals". The big print on the front of the bag says "Calcium Chloride Crystals".

    None of the images show the back of the bag where the actual contents are listed in order. Why is that?

    Only in small letters on front of the bag, does it say "enhanced with extenders". What are the extenders? When you can look at the back of the bag, it is just rock salt, nothing more than rock salt. This is an expensive product that looks to be about 95% cheap rock salt.

    Check out the other negative reviews before buying. I wish I had read those reviews. Thankfully, Amazon took this back without question.

    Since it is as little as .01% (yes, really) calcium Chloride, it is perfect for those that want overpriced salt (up to 99.9% salt).

    Now Joe has apparently bought everyone and now it's hard to find things like this without their tarnished name on it. I am not a fan of their support and they sell products that they do not make replacement parts for.
